| Dark Brandon05-13-05, 05:31 PM | I need some quick help I'm really really new to D&D, and started a campaign recently. Well, our GM wants us to make 2 extra characters to use on "side" quests. One is a monk, and the other is a Fighter both of about 5th level I'd like to know how to mini-max these, like what races and what feats to have, since these are gonna be two short lived side quests, I'm not too woried about balance, just as long as they are legal. I'd like to be able to use a warforged in one of the two, if possible, but if not, it's cool. Thanks for any help. |

What is it you intend to do with your two different characters? I'll give you some advice, warforged works better with fighter than with monk. A warforged fighter is to be feared. But there is many different kinds of fighters. The only single classed fighter i see these days, however, is the spiked chain fighter. He gets feats like Improved trip and Combat reflexes to really control the battlefield. The shield & sword fighters don't really compare to most other classes when it comes to defense, offense or skills. Really, they don't compare to anything. But the spiked chain fighter is great, too good at times. (Or at least decent :^) ). Try to take admatine body and improved fortification with your warforged. Monks are hard to work with, because there is nothing they are best at, in my game anyway. Cool second rate sneaker, decent flanker, ok damage, nice enough defenses but only if you focus on them. You had better go to the CO with your monk... I have played one twice or somesuch and I still have no clue what I was good at (compared to other classes who shine in different roles). |

My clerics is alright, but everyone else I play with knows the in's-and-out's of D&D to really create "Wow" type characters. Like a drow that is a monk that has some sort of Ice fist feat./power (OKed by GM). Another is really agile archer who like can shoot everything and does huge damage. I'm not really sure what these other 2 characters are for, because they will be part of the same "world", but we're not sure how they actually tie in. Spiked chain warforged fighter actually sounds rather cool. What feats would I have to take (He'll start at 5th level) |

Put all your stats into wis and dex and at least a 13 into con. be a human, and take sacred vow and vow of poverty at first level. as exalted bonus feats take intuative attack and nymphs kiss at level 1,2, take touch of golen ice at level 4. This is a very good build at early and mid campains. |
