Strictly speaking, feat rogues can't take feats that require "Fighter level X" in them, because they aren't fighters.

If a DM allows the feat rogue, though, they're already houseruling, and can therefore likely be persuaded to allow feat rogue levels to count as fighter levels for the purposes of feat rogue feats.

It's important to note, though, that even if he does use such a setting, a feat rogue 4 / fighter 4 would NOT count as being Fighter Level 8 for feats, unless your DM allows them to stack. This is a dangerous precedent, particularly on caster level options.

09-25-06, 11:21 AM I don't allow combat rogues to take fighter only feats, although it wounldn't be unbalancing. I would not allow a fighter 2/combat rogue 2 to take weapon specialization. I would rule that must have reachd level four in at least one of the classes to meet the prerequisits.

09-25-06, 12:57 PM A fighter 4, Rogue X who took a level of rogue and got another feat for any reason (15th level character, rogue specail ability as Bonus feats ...) meets the requirement for WeaponSpecialization and thus COULD take WS Dagger if the prerequisite WF Dagger were met. HE could not take GWF Dagger because he lacks 8 levels of fighter. If OTOH it was a Fighter 8 Who at 9th took a level of Rogue they could make their 9th level feat be GWF.

The feats do have requirements which must be met, but I've yet to see a feat with the requirement "must be taken as a Fighter Bonus Feat" only "must have X levels of Fighter"
