It says that you get a +1.5 bonus to your damage when wielding something two handed. Does that mean that Urk the Orc who uses a greatsword gets a +1.5 bonus on damage rolls? What is the point of the +.5? How does this factor into the game? I usually play spellcasting classes when I play so I wouldn't know. :embarrass |
| Arakano01-18-04, 08:32 AM | No, itīs 1.5 times strength bonus to damage. So, Uruk the orc with 18 St (+4) does 2d6 + 6 damage with a greatsword. |
| Mitchell01-19-04, 03:40 AM | The extra +.5 is from your strength damage adjustment, as noted. The reason is that a character can put more power into an attack with two hands. It also helps make up for the fact that while using your 2-handed sword, you don't have a shield, and are compromising your defensive ability. |
| Gothic_Demon01-19-04, 07:09 AM | You'll find that its x1.5 not +1.5 |
| tarkin01-19-04, 10:52 PM | Specifically if your strength is 14, 18 with Rage, than while fighting with a Great sword, or even a Long Sword with 2 hands on it, you get a bonus to damage of (+4*1.5 = )+6. [+3 without the rage) Note, this is to damage ONLY, not to hit. Your to hit is still +4 [+2 without the rage] |
