A while ago I found some articles on filling unused class specials. I was hoping to use them to make my party's Bard a bit more interesting to level as. Could someone give me the link to the articles, I have been looking but found nothing.

Which articles would these be?
There are a few .... with class articles on the wizards website. Those have a few good tips.

Simply put the bard can do just about everything the rogue can except open locks and disarm traps.

Bards also are famous for being the class that can have a DM pulling his hair out since a bard is more capable than any class of getting an obscene diplomacy modifier.

If you want to make the class more interesting flavorwise, remember that he gets his choice as to what perform skill he can use. He could perform with a lute, lyre, harmonica, bongos, singing voice, oratory, comedy...

You can have fun with that much at least.

For combat purposes, I would get things that help you assist your allies. Improved trip/disarm or feats that assist with flanking.

The one on Dead Levels, giving completely useless abilities to fill in some of those levels that have no abilities?

Yes that's it, thank you very much. It's b'cos one of my players (the bard) is also DMing for a group of his friends (I've asked to join his campaign but it's been a no comment). So I hope being able to offer a bit more than he does will improve the adventures.
