Im joinin my friends campaign, after reading the PHB ive decided to make a cleric of pelor.

The problem is that the campaign has a lot of players already, including a wizard that is a lich and nobody knows.

there is a paladin in the campaign and from what i know there hasnt been any trouble yet , the thing is being a cleric of pelor if i find out he is a lich do i have to fight him just because hes undead? and seeing as im a complete newbie i dont want to get in the campaign and disrupt it... should i make another PC?

Helmed Horror: no their not. the lich is trying to convince me to make a evil cleric but i think that would make it even harder seeing as the paladin is higher lvl and maybe notice my alignement i dunno.

and he only cares about himself so i cant count on him

twad: level 7, hes a lich cause he was granted a wish for some reason they explained to me but i dont remember lol and he whished to be a lich

If your PC finds out he's a lich, you'll have to kill him. If you don't, everybody else will kill you, then kill him. If you die, make a new PC. I'd recommend a nice, Half-Dragon 3/Barbarian 4....

well.. you could be a evil cleric and help the lich survive ("heal"him and avoid detection of his status) in the party... or be good and make his live that much harder.

Depends on the lich´ alignment...makes one wonder why the paladin did not already kill him, if he is evil. After all, I would start to wonder why I always get faint evil with my detect evil (the presence of evil creatures leaves a faint trail) and start to look where its coming from.

Make your cleric of palor and enjoy it. Pretend that your friend is playing a normal wizard, and not lich. Becuase unless he actually tells you and shows you that he is a lich, then you really do not know that he is a lich. Seriousely just play dumb. If anyone asks why you haven't treid to kill him, IC you can act offened and made becuase someone just suggested that your friend is a lich and you should murder him. OC you can call metagaming on anyone who says you have to fight the lich, your PC technically does not know that he is a lich. And if he does then you technically have a paladin backing you up. (better odds in a fight.)

I must say that this is the best advice in this circumstance. Just play your character like you want him to be and have fun. You can always use your greater turning attempt on him if you find out about his lichdom. :)
