Hey,

We are starting a new campaign after the next game, and have been directed that we are playing a evil party. The DM is doing this cool thing in which the two games he runs will be playing flip sides of each others game. e.g. Good party & bad party, similiar objectives, same story, and will envolve some games where both parties play directly against each other... we have still to see if this can be done... anyways back to the matter at hand.

It will be my first time playing evil, and I'm of a quandry what to play.
Our party at the moment is lacking in spell casters, which I have never really played either. So I am seeking advice or what characters to play. What's good whats not.... if suggesting spell casters, I'd prefer battle orientated.

I'm circling around a Drow (the new level adjusted template) Rogue/Assassin, or Wizard/Assassin.

Let the suggestions roll in.

I'll take cancer mage for 500. :D

One of The Koga's menial threats is "I hope you get cancer and die! " and being a cancer mage I could make that happen.. :P

Play a Ghedren (that's a half-zombie template from the Dragon) Fighter. NN. A cold hearted killing machine.

Or, from the same Dragon, a Mortif Hexblade- that gives you the Arcane fighter type.

I really like playing evil clerics. Creating and controlling undead is fun, and it's alot of fun playing someone who's basically a demented member of a fanatical death cult. Here are links to a couple of builds I worked up: Kenny the Ur-Priest Lich (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=177782) and The Possessor (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=150894). I really doubt your DM will let you play the first one unmodified, but you could show it to him so he's a bit happier to accept the second one. :D
