This is my second time posting this but I have expanded to 10 full prestige class levels. I'm gonna start writing the background info, but any advice on this general concept would be greatly apreciated. The general idea is of a thief who specializes in stealing the luck and magic items of his opponents. and useing them himself. The thought that hit me was "why wait untill after the battle to get the bad guys magic weopons? Take them now so he can't use them! From there I figured that the most flavorfull way to do this would be grabing valubles, causing them to sucumb to the blink effect and then slideing them throught the finger, neck, arm, etc. (i dont tknow if this is aggainst the rules or not, but I think its pretty flavorable)

Class Features

Opportune Thief- Whenever the Fortune Thief is granted an attack of opportunity; he may forgo his attack and instead make an immediate Slight of Hand check to lift an item off the target. This action does not provoke an attack of opportunity, as long as the Fortune Thief succeeds. The DC for Sight of Hand checks of opportunity is + 5, however the target’s opposed spot check suffers a – 2 penalty due to obvious distractions. If the Fortune Thief is blinking (see below) he receives no penalty to remove items such Rings, Amulets, Bracers, and the like from his target.

Sneak Attack-If a Fortune Thief can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from his attack, he can strike a vital spot for extra damage.

The Fortune Thief’s attack deals extra damage any time her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the Fortune Thief flanks his target. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.
With a sap (blackjack) or an unarmed strike, a Fortune Thief can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. He cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual -4 penalty.

A Fortune Thief can sneak attack only living creatures with discernible anatomies—undead, constructs, oozes, plants, and incorporeal creatures lack vital areas to attack. Any creature that is immune to critical hits is not vulnerable to sneak attacks. The Fortune Thief must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A Fortune Thief cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment or striking the limbs of a creature whose vitals are beyond reach.

Pilfer Fortune- At 2nd level whenever the Fortune Thief is able to make a sneak attack, he may forgo dealing 2d6 worth of damage in order to impose a 1d6 penalty on a save of his choice to the target. The Fortune Thief may add these points to a floating luck pool that the Fortune thief may use to modify his saves. He must add these points before he knows the result of the saving throw. A fortune thief may hold a maximum number of points equal to his class level + his charisma modifier (if any). These points return to the original target at a rate of one point per minute (if the original target is dead, they still disappear at the same rate). The Fortune Thief may use this ability a number of times per day equal to his class level.

At 5th level the Fortune Thief may forgo dealing 3d6 points of sneak attack damage to impose a 1d6 penalty on the target’s armor class. These points are added to the Fortune Thief’s luck pool. The fortune thief may now use his luck pool to add up to half his class level worth of points to his armor class.

At 8th level whenever the Fortune thief is entitled an attack of opportunity or a Slight of Hand check of opportunity, they may instead attempt an unarmed touch attack against the target. On a successful hit the target takes 1d6 subdual damage. The Fortune Thief gains 1d6 points to his luck pool.

Skilled Thief- At 3rd level the Fortune Thief has further developed his mundane skills. He gains Skill Focus-Slight of Hand as a bonus feat.

At 6th level the Fortune Thief may subtract 2 points from his luck pool to benefit from an effect similar to the Blink spell. This effect lasts a number of rounds equal to 3 + his Charisma modifier (if any).

At 9th level the Fortune Thief’s blink effect increases in potency; the effect is similar to the Greater Blink spell and lasts a number of rounds equal to 5+ his Charisma modifier.
