| Rechan08-22-05, 09:01 AM | I just bought Death in Freeport from Green Ronin's website and I'm not sure exactly what's made it so famous. The mystery itself is decent, but the execution is a little heavy handed, IMO. I imagine the investigation would also frustrate PCs because their leads are a brick wall, and the only way to get anything is by getting your head knocked in by a big honkin' mercenary. The only other complaint is the real strain I see on PCs. The fight with the mercenaries will likely drain them, and if PCs rest before going into the cult's lair, Milos will likely not be there (going back to work). What did you do differently? How did you change the adventure? Did you make the detective-work or pacing any different? How about any changes in the encounters? |
