Currently I have a human favored soul 3/cleric 1 who grew up in a monk monestary dedicated to St. Cuthbert. The only thing my character was not interested in him, and instead found his time mroe dedicated to his pranks. He would do things such as put whoopie cushions under people's meditation pillow, so it would go off when it was time for them to sit for prayer, etc.

This led my character to grab the attention of Garl Glittergold. My character is a favored soul of Glittergold. He carries around alot of holy symbols and pretends to worship different gods to get away from combat situations, be treated to fine meals and inns. It always benefits the party so they don't mind, and the DM doesn't mind because if someone is in trouble I will help them out without question, and I don't ask for some sort of payment. Although, I state that the church of [insert popular name of popular local god] could use charity of its worshippers.

My character still likes to pull pranks, and I'm trying to think of other pranks/gags/tricks my character could use. So far this is what I've come up with:

- Pretend to be cleric of different gods
- Candy that turns your teeth black
- Pipe that "explodes" causing a black powder to fly all over the smoker
- Mirror that makes the viewer look hideous (works especially well for Bard who thinks he looks great all the time)
- Using disguise self (trickery domain) to pretend to be a terrible looking monster and sneaking up on other party members

What gag items, pranks, and tricks would be good for this type of character?
Remember though my character would not (seriously) harm anyone for a prank.

- Become a cleric of the party wizzard.,because of his clearly supernatural powers
- Introduce the bard as Garlic Foulmouth the world biggest dwarfbard, whenever you have the chance too
- Dye the hair of the bard green while he sleeps
- If you have animals in the party get animal speak and bluff them into doing things that annoys the owner, like waking them at 3 at the morning.

better yet, shave a message into said beard. "god says, eat your pants!!!" i can so see the dwarf taking it as a holy sign from morradin (lord of all beards, oh, ya, and dwarves:rolleyes:) more believable message may cause very odd things
my own personal item (courtesy of the lord of pranks *drumroll* a gnome illusionist) "ale of sobering" instantly reverses the effects of alchohol. had a lot of fun messing with our party's drunken boxer, out of combat of corse. "now i have to drink all that bear... AGAIN!!!" :P
summon monster1, weasel, in the fighters full plate. do i even have to describe the hilarity?
grease the rogue's leather armor, instant hot pants!

1) Protection from [alignment] will prevent the wizard/sorcerer from influencing his/her familiar's behavior (from a certain interpretation of the rules).
2) Find out the gender of the wizard/sorcerer's familiar. Get an animal of the other one.
3) Is it spring?

An empathic link isn't always pleasant. :D

Simple but a goodie: Other party members get rooms in the inn across the hall from each other. If the doors open into the room get a good thick piece of rope and tie one end to each doorknob so that each door will only open a few inches. Knock on each door. Watch them try to open the door.

That's a good way to get stabbed...

Cleric: Boo!
Fighter: Ah! Monster! *quick draw*

Buy a stone of prestidigitation. It's not in any book, but it's not a stretch for a wizard to make one with the craft wondrous item feat for 500-1000gp. That way you have access to the spell an unlimited number of times per day. And I'm sure you can find threads that talk about the unlimited pranks you can pull with that spell :) You can do the same with other cantrips like ghost sound or dancing lights.

My favorite tactic is to make things taste like urine right before the unsuspecting PC/NPC puts it in their mouth. I've also done the reverse, where I made bottles of urine taste and look like wine :schemes:

Now THERE is a debate.
Urine is supposedly full of nutrients, and what not, which people can live off of drinking. Gandhi did. So the question is... if urine tasted like whine, would people drink it willingly?
How about if it tasted like beer?
Or your favorite soda?
Or chocolate?

ah D&D, you make me ponder the truly tough questions of life.

Currently in my campaign, I am a living ooze (Through a divine intervention, I got hit with an adaptation of the Gelatinous template (-4 Int instead of the normal).) I can now do all sorts of fun things.

Why the Transformation happened and my prank #1: I was protecting the party from a mindflayer, being the only one who made my save against the mind blast, I was the only one who could move. It was a long struggle and the mindflayer finally got all four tentacles on me. Luckily, I had won initiative and was only seconds away from death when I burned all of my action points to summon my god's hat(Long story). I then asked it to "electrify me", but it heard "liquify me", which brings me to prank number one:

-Fool a mindflayer by transforming into something that lacks a brain. (And has stunning immunity).

- Allow my enemies to impale me with their swords, pretend to be fatally wounded (Bluff check with a HUGE bonus due to the sword in my gut), then draw the sword out of my gut and surprise them.

- Perform the same trick by sticking an arrow through my head (It doesn't hurt, really), then lying in wait.

Now for some other ones:
-Set a trap that sets off the Red Dragon card from the Deck of Illusions whenever the bathroom door is opened. ("Oh, it's occupied...")

-Convice the self-proclaimed "Bold Mage" that he should be the first to charge into the haunted house. Alone. While we're still engaging the welcoming commitee.
