Geas/Quest? [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-01-07, 07:27 AM So... I kinda have a Geas/Quest on me, Whereby my mission is pretty much to forsake and kill my entire party. Kind of think Yoshimo from BG:2.

My character is a mighty one, specced for killing humans, as most of my party consists of them, it wouldn't be hard, however... it's not something I'll enjoy doing out of game. Plus, our current mission will make **** terribly hard.

I also have a cursed item on me, probably being used to scry on me.

Advice?

04-01-07, 07:38 AM What was the exact order you were given?
You can always twist it.
Does your character consider drugging/sickening/poisoning them ways of killing them?
You can slowly kill them while you look for a way to break free of the Geas withow the penalties it would normally inquire you, or you could just look for a way to get a wish, similar spell, while suffering the penalties and when the penalties are far to advanced, then harm one of them like stated before (poison or similar).

04-01-07, 07:52 AM My character is an Assassin, so it would be very easy for me...the problem is... the mage who cast this spell on me is of CONSIDERABLE level, 12-16 to be safe. Where as I am only level 9. In AND out of game I am very sketchy on what exactly is happening.

Basically...heres a run down. We were all part of an ENORMOUS underground organization (The puppeteers who control the world more or less) Well... a Dark God has appeared and is killing the world with demon hordes...

to combat this, 12 or so of the worlds mightiest mages... Ranging in level from 12-20 we've estimated, constructed a would-be God. One mage betrayed everyone, killed most of the other mages during the awakening, and the New God awoke and created a Plane of Chaos, in which it summoned ENORMOUS monstrosities, and decimated several hundred of our organization.

3 mages opened Dimension doors and escaped, I lept into one. Another mage did a mass-teleport on the remaining ... 9 members of the organization, or so.

The mage I appeared with told me he was betraying humanity and joining the Dark God, and that I needed to kill my old party and organization. Here's a Geas, do it or I';ll incinerate you where you stand.

So, here I am.

04-01-07, 09:46 AM Well, as I said, twist it, ask for a lot of buffs/protection from your party members to avoid being detected/instakilled and once tht's done, go get a way to clear yourself from the geas.
