My group just started a new campaign and I am the fighter in the group. Right now I am thinking I am going to stay straight fighter and just use feats like crazy. But here is one thing I think I am going to work on and I want some input or ideas.
I am going to sword and board and take the throw anything feat so that one of the many Longsword I plan to carry will also be ranged weapons. Of course I will need the throw anything feat and the quick draw feat. I think I may want to take ranged grapple and ranged sunder also but I am not worried about getting those feats too much (shouldn't be a problem at all).
Now I am looking for input or ideas for this raw character idea. Any feats people think would work well in there or any rules I do not know of that may be a problem. What do you all think?

Not familiar with the nuts and bolts of the feat, so just know that going in.
Now, do you think it's a good idea at higher levels to be throwing magical weapons at your opponents? :)
I mean, once damage reduction starts becoming more prominent, either you are going to be throwing some expensive pieces of hardware, or you are going to stop throwing anything that makes any real difference.
Still, I suppose you will have alot of feats, and if you pick and choose your spots you can minimize or avoid the weapons being used against you.

Or, he could get his DM to houserule the returning enchantment to be able to be put on all weapons. ;)

Why stick with longswords, go for battle axes, warhammers, and any other weapon you can think of. That way you get some use out of those shortswords, spears, morningstars, etc that goblinoids carry yet are too low quality to really be worth the trouble to sell (depending on your DM).

Work on going master thrower once you have throw anything.
See if your DM will accept the weapon focus (thrown melee) feat.
If the DM doesn't like "thrown melee" then offer "thrown longsword" or other melee weapon that comes up often.

I was working on a master thrower build with javelins, a quiver of ehlonna really helps for that. A half orc rogue/master thrower with a dozen javelins can be a frightening opponent.

There was also a shield I recall from somewhere (can't remember the book offhand) that could hold 3 darts.
If you have a small sized rogue in the group, bombard the enemy with weapons, as they charge throw the rogue behind them and melee.
