| thatguynextdoor10-03-06, 10:06 PM | Ok, heres my request. I want to make a gentleman thief (hence the name), but I can't decide which class to be. I think I want to be either a rogue, fighter, or swashbuckler, but I'm a very indecisive person. Please give me some ideas.:bored: |
| DarkNick10-03-06, 10:26 PM | Any of those would work. Being a gentleman thief is more about style than skill. So roll a d6 1-2 rogue, 3-4 fighter, 5-6 swashbuckler. |
| Zuj10-03-06, 10:28 PM | Why not just multiclass all three? Be a human, take two levels of fighter, and go up evenly as the other two. Problem solved. |
| Karma10-03-06, 10:45 PM | A Rogue/Swashbuckler seems to be in order. You could pull it off with almost all Rogue levels and a couple of Fighter levels... which happens to be what I am doing now, but Rogue/Swashbucker seems to fit better flavor-wise. |
| Piggyfreak610-03-06, 10:50 PM | Take Rouge, then swash, then rouge, then swash. If you have access to the Swashbuckler series of books (Pirate Campaign books, Really hard to find, but I found them. I freaken love them!!!) then just take the Gentelmen and Rouge levels. |
| Magus Gar Kan10-03-06, 10:58 PM | Hmm I seem to recall an "Aristocrat Thief" build out of an old dragon mag, it was a mix of Rogue, bard, Ftr, Spymaster, and shadowdancer. Kinda convoluted. In my opinion go with either rogue, swashbuckler or bard. All three of them have the skills necessary. But for the most part it's the amount of style you put into roleplaying the character that will make all the difference :duel: |
| Piggyfreak610-04-06, 08:23 PM | Yeah, I'm pretty sure you did |
| thatguynextdoor10-04-06, 11:49 PM | Thanks guys! I kinda figured I should use that d6 thing...Oh well time to get high on Life again! |
