So I've recently become interested in D&D 3.5. The local game shop hosts a D&D Arena Fridays & Saturdays, and I'm enjoying the participation. However, my inexperience sticks out like a sore thumb, and I do have some trouble designing a character that works in a PVP environment. (we're also using a point buy system as opposed to random rolls) I started out with a Elf Ranger specializing in archery, but was thoroughly disappointed by my results. Right now I'm looking into making a Gnome Wizard, but would like some input (obviously).
