Hi all

I play a 10th lvl fighter and next level I wanna go for the 3.0 edition PrC Ghostwalker from "Sword and Fist", which I so far have been allowed to take by my DM. Although I've mentioned it for him, he doesn't seem to realize that by 20th lvl I'll be able to spend 30 rounds/day being ethereal and with my ancestral relic feat from "Book of Exalted Deeds" I can imbue my longsword with the Ghost Touch power described in DMG.

Thus I am virtually invincible to anyone who can't cross into the ethereal plane, someone who is already there or isn't but have ways to detect me and use forcedamageeffects against me.

I know for sure that you munchkins and powergamers have ways to end my miserable ethereal existence, but what I really wanna know is what your opinion as DM is on powers like this. Would you rule it out or would you accept it and then just tweek the monsters or the whole adventure to be able to at least hurt me a little bit?

To me this class combo seems almost like a perfect assassin... even better than assassin or rogue classes for just tip toeing in and slitting throats. what is your opinion, is the Ghostwalker PrC too powerfull or...?

The Ethereal Plane has its own set of challenges and they are usually scaled for CR 10 and upwards. You shift into the Eth Plane all the time and sooner or later, you'll pop up right in front of a big bad nasty that cannot enter the material plane. Then you become lunch.
