Githzerai Banishment [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-05-04, 12:12 AM What happens if a githzerai has banishment casted on him. Is he sent back to the plane of limbo or is the material plane considered his home plane considered the material plane for playing circumstances?

05-05-04, 06:03 AM Well, according to their description they are "Extraplanar" and their home plane is "Limbo", therefore you could Dismiss or Banish them to there.

05-05-04, 06:42 AM The githzerai would be sent hurdling back to the Ever-changing Chaos of Limbo. If this unfortunate sod happened to be a player, it would definitely make for an interesting adventure finding him and bringing him back to the Prime Material.

05-05-04, 12:03 PM And just for future referance, an outsider type creature is immune to things like Banishment if their subtype is [Native], meaning they are an outsider that is native to the Prime Material Plane (however the heck you can justify that in your own mind :P ), so Banishment just sends them where they already are.

05-10-04, 12:06 AM I also play a Githzerai (15 lv assassin) and love it.

Why wouldn't use just plane shift back? You have that once per day as a psionic ability.

05-11-04, 07:53 PM depends, a githzerai who was bron on the material plane would be a native, otherwise it would send you back to Limbo (but if you got sent back to a githzerai city would not be that bad)

Only if you do not mind to land a couple hundred miles away. Could be dangerous if you land in the middle of an ocean.
