| Rerecros07-29-07, 10:52 PM | Well the artificer is THE choice for item makers. Magic of eberron gives more options for them. |
| Zaver07-29-07, 11:28 PM | Any class that has access to the craft skill and alot of skill points though that's not going to really let you make grand and usefull items. Now while I've never seen the artificer's stats I'm sure it's about the only thing that offers what you want as it's the only thing I've ever heard of that does the job of the build you want. |
| Talisman07-29-07, 11:30 PM | Wizard--you get bonus item creation feats, okay skill points (because of your huge Int), and access to a ton of useful spells. |
| DrMorganes07-30-07, 09:25 AM | Artificer > Wizard for item crafting. Artificers get: Crafting feats as bonus feats at set levels The same skill points as a wizard A pool of "craft reserve" points they can use in place of xp for crafting magical items Use Magic Device as a class skill. (And I think they get some special uses for it, too!) The ability to temporarily enchant things on the fly through their Infusions Light & Medium Armor proficiency AND Shield Proficiency Rogue BAB progression d6 Hit Die There are a few other special things artificers can do that wizards cannot, but the specifics escape me at the moment. All in all, if you want to focus on item creation, artificer is the way to go. |
