Gnome paladin mount? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-20-04, 11:10 AM I've been considering a gnome paladin with a blinkdog for a special mount, but have had conserns over the compatability of the blink ability... As a gnome, he and all his gear could easily be carried by the blinkdog, but would the dog's abilities take the gnome rider with it or not? At first i thought yes since it can easily carry the gnome and most/all his gear as light encumberance. and also thought of the share spell ability of the paladin. but that ability is for the paladin to share with the mount, and for spells only, not spell-like. and blink is a personal spell, would that include people being carried? I don't have MM3.5 to look and see if it may clarify anything, but MM3.0 just says it's a personal effect.

12-20-04, 04:01 PM The Blink ability of the blink dog is as per the spell. The Dimension Door ability affects only the blink dog. This is according to MM.
