Hi. I recently started making a goblin comapign based on a small continent I drew up. I have made about 5 adventures so far and Im aiming for 9 or 10 adventures in this campaign. But the problem is Im running out of adventure ideas, trying not to get repetative. Like I dont want 4 or 5 'defence' adventures. I'll give you a small deacription of the campaign and the adventures so far.

Its based in a small continent called Drarill. It has 6 or 7 major cities and a few dozen villages scattered around. The campaign kicks off with the party assembling in a large village toward then orthern mountianous region of the continent. They get word of a dungeon with treasure a few miles to the south. While going along the path they meet a farmer who is preparing a barricade for his cabin's door. He explains to the PCs that there is a group of goblins coming to take the farm and he must defend his family. So Im hoping the party decides to help (they most likely will since they are new and jump on any bait I give them) and once the day is won they gets some loot and carry on. Down the path they meet some people who are part of an order dedicated to fighting the goblin menace on this continent. So after a large amount of dialog they move on to do 4 more 'missions' that I have created so far:
1. raiding a goblin camp to free a captured member of the order (Im trying to spur on the creative use of tactics by having a officer in the order giving them a rough map of the outpost.)
2. A escort mission helping a wagon full of supplies move through a gourge where ambush is likely.
3. Traveling to a village that is beseiged by goblins and arriving in the middle of a huge battle
4. Setting up traps and ambushes for a goblin supply line that is going to head through an area.

Any more ideas? I cant think of any more missions that I could throw at them without getting repetative. Also any other tips on campaign building will be appreciated. Thanks for yours time.

Sorry for posting on the wrong forum, my internet messed up and didnt go to the right forum.

I think you need to get epic with it on mission five.

Maybe the players find out that some goblins are going to accidentally destroy the world by:

summoning a demon
activating a powerful artifact
deactivating a powerful artifact
casting a long-lost spell

And a campaing arc ensues.

A stint at a massive library (researching the location of the **) where a group of goblins try to assassinate them would be fun. Running through rows of shelves and hiding under tables as the players attempt to fight their way out, only to be caught by trip-wires and blow-gun needles poisoned with this or that might be interesting. Gaining access to the library might itself be an adventure involving the slaying of some mythical creature for the local government.

You could follow that by a race to access the ** which might span the continent and involve exotic methods of travel. The vehicle in question might come under attack by goblins or something more sinister.

You know, have fun with it.

Im just here to direct you to a place where you will receive more assistance.

Dang, I thought this was going to be about the PCs being goblins. I feel robbed.

Me too! Before I read the post, I was already formulating my request that he share details of his "goblin campaign" with us so that I could do the same! Now I want to run or play a goblin campaign...

Make the Goblins more than just pests. Remember that although they are violent in natures, Goblins, Hobgoblins, and Bugbears are just as smart and wise, (and in the case of Hobgoblins, just as charasmatic) while phsyically more fit than most of the common races according to their stats. Hobgoblins also lean towards Lawful Evil- the most agreeable and easy to work with kind of evil. They can have language, a kind of art, culture, and other things that all human-level intelligence beings can.

So don't be afraid to have more organized Goblin institutions posing an actual threat to the land. That leaves you for plenty of ideas centered around stopping Goblin military raids, spying, premptive strikes, and stopping parries of Goblinoids seeking relics to increase their power.

If you treat them as scattered and unrelated encounters, then you will run out of ideas or they will get stale very quickly.

Check out the published adventures Scourge of the Howling Horde, Shattered Gates of Slaughtergrad, and Red Hand of Doom. All these adventures feature Goblins as the main atagonist. RHOD is very highly praised amongst DMs who have run it and PCs who have played it. Send me a PM if you want any details.
