What, if anything, has a GM/DM done to make you think, nice one - i like that.... Ie; Using Jelly Babies for the monsters instead of figures and then letting the people eat the ones they had killed. All was going fine until he put a Gob Stopper on the board (you know thats going to be one hell of a tough monster!) So, what have you seen that made you happy to play in a GM's game? ColiN |

Well, I remember once my DM let me re-do an action. He described how a pack of skeletons was going to attack us and said: "You can only form two rows of people". I misunderstood it and placed my level 1 Wizard in first line of combat, and the DM asked "Are you sure?". Then I realised my mistake and said: "Oh, crap! That's not what I had in mind." And he let me go into the second line. So kind of him.... |

| Bedevere02-02-04, 04:12 AM | At character creation, my players roll up one set of stats between them, and each one of them uses it, assigning stats how they want. I also use them for major NPC's. This stops all arguments about either a player or an NPC being overpowered thanks to lucky stat rolls. I also enjoyed letting my players start a new game, and getting them to create their arch nemeses (fairly sure thats the right plural...), without telling them it would be the evil ones they were playing that campaign. This saw some of the best characters, and the best RP I've ever seen from them. :) |
