There was a movie on SCI-FI this last weekend, Hercules. Basically, it wasn't that he was the son of Zeus, it is just that people thought he was and he grew up believing he was until he learned the truth much later. He wasn't lying when he told people he was the son of a god, he was just wrong. Your DM might be confused because some politicials (and commentators) are using the word incorrectly, stating that so-and-so lied to the public, when in fact the person (and many others including many who are now claiming the person lied) may have just been wrong. |
