| Insane Pixie03-19-05, 02:19 PM | Does anybody have a link to a website with the LA info from Savage Species? |
| DM Zoc03-19-05, 05:00 PM | No, that wouldn't be legal. To be honest, though, the guidelines in that book aren't very good. If you really want to determine the LA on something, you need an experienced eye or two. If you post something on this website, the friendly forum-goers will help you. |

If you need to make a race, the DMG describes how to do that just fine. Here's my race guidelines: Guideline #1: The Fighter Test A single LA +1 is equivalent to 6 hp, 2 skill points, and a little more than 3/4 of a feat. Guideline #2: Toss Around Stat it out, and make a character with 1 level in the favored class. Then take a Human of the same class and keep adding levels to the Human untill they seem balanced. Also known as Acid Testing. Guideline #3: Match Take an existing creature that has most of the stuff you want, then swap abilities you don't want for equally powerful abilities. |
