| WoodFloor01-15-06, 07:38 PM | Ok So i am making a brass half dragon who is a fighter with the idea of going towards the Reaping Mauler PrC. Any thoughts at all on this? Regardless of how useful it is I want to make a really good grappler, and I like the idea of a talkative half dragon making comments about somebody while they were grappling them, I don't know why. Anyways, skill and feat ideas besides the obvious (improved grapple, clever wrestling, improved unarmed strike, close quarters fighting) Fighters have limited skill points so I may just have to stick everything into tumble and escape artist to get to my PrC. Any thoughts? Thanks for all the input. also any ideas about what kind of armor I should take? If I can get away with it I think I am not going to carry around any weapons, maybe I will go for the improvised weapons feat for throwing chairs and shoes or something, I want him to be kind of a scrapper/grappler. |
| WoodFloor01-15-06, 07:47 PM | We are just making characters this weekend and I have until Tuesday to figure everything out. Is there anything that I need to keep in mind to keep this guy alive or does he seem like he can hold his own? Basically I want to go around grappling things bigger than me for fun, but eventually hunt down large blue dragons. Only bummer is I can only grapple things one size larger than myself, is there anything that helps you grapple things that are two sizes bigger than you are? |
| CryoSilver01-15-06, 08:13 PM | I would take Improved Toughness, since you'll be short 3 HD, which is quite a hit, even with a boosted Con. If you're going to be grappling, I say capitalize on your natural weapons, which you can use in a grapple; INA and WF in them. |
| Derren S.01-16-06, 07:04 AM | Do you really need improved unarmed strike as a PRC requirement? Because as a H-D you have natural weapons. |
| Borne Of Hate01-16-06, 09:15 AM | ::Greater Magic Fang;Permanancy:: It'll help with your attack and damage. I am not sure as far as the grappling huge creatures, but you can always have several potions of enlarge person available at your disposal just incase you get in a hairy situation. P.S.: As a half Blue Dragon Fighter/Dervish, I take offence... :D Happy Gaming |
| WoodFloor01-16-06, 03:39 PM | Derren S.- interesting point, but It says I need it as a requirement, so I guess thats the way it goes. Improved toughness a definate, although my con is pretty decent. I guess there is a races of Dragons book due out soon so maybe there is something more in there. Looks like I might have to acquire some "enlarge self" potions... |
