| Szat01-26-05, 02:34 AM | So here's the situation. I'm playing in a 2nd Ed. campaign, a far reaching epic where the party is on a quest to save the world from a demonic ascenscion. Myself and my counterpart, Orleans, are both Halfling thieves. The party has branded us as much and treat as though we've already stolen their valuable goods. Taking the abuse in stride Orleans and myself have decided that the party needs to lighten up a little bit. So we're brainstorming, how can we prank the party into insanity. Bear in mind that this is 2nd Ed. and our DM will only allow us to go so far, so try and keep the ideas plausible. Currently the party consists of 2 Fighters, one we suspect is a lycanthrope, a nearly Undead Necromancer, a Sorceror, a NG Cleric, and an erstwhile Dwarven leader, no one really treats him as a leader though, it's a hollow title. No one is evil in the party but Orleans is inclined to mischief and my N alignment allows me to sway either way. ;) So what do say people, can you help Orleans and myself bring some hilarity to our often serious party? :D :D |
| penchant01-26-05, 03:00 AM | Pick pocket your belongings into THEIR bags. Accuse them of stealing. soverign glue the fighters to their saddles. They need some practice in mounted combat... and mounted sleeping... and mounted urination...and... lay dead and dismembered chickens beside the possible were-whatever to discover when he wakes up. Have a funeral for the necromancer. Invite him. put mice into the necromancer's spell pouches. soverign glue a jester's scepter onto the cleric's mace. Call it Mr. Binky You each get a giant gold amulet adorned with your names. Call them your holy symbols. Pray to yourselves loudly. Claim the ability to grant yourselves spells from the power of your worship. Then switch holy symbols and worship each other. Ask the cleric if he wants to convert. Let me think of some more... |
| Szat01-26-05, 03:39 AM | We thought a dead chicken or a dead deer, both works!!! Also, switching gold with copper and platinum with silver when we find a chest :D |
| GaffeR01-26-05, 03:55 AM | Glue me to anything and ill throw the both of you off a cliff! Dye the lycanthrope fighter's armor pink Shave the dwarf's beard Accuse each other of being thieves Run off into the jungle for hours alone at a time making Yelping noises Warm water+fingers+time = wet pants Whenever one of them is about to speak to someone in character, butt in claiming that "This particular member of my party is a tad slow in the head, he really shouldn't even be outside let alone talking to people". Continue from there interupting the guy each time. Pretend to be suffering from an itchy rash in an unpleasant area (ie, the posterior) and force the cleric to check it out If they get horses, dye them pink or shave your names into their fur (or the names of the horses, or other people, or a spiffy design) |
| penchant01-26-05, 04:42 AM | Claim that the party is right and the halflings are now turning in their rogue levels for Athasian Halfling Barbarian levels. Buy a large draft horse. Set up the halfling sized tent on the horse. Live there. Get a portable hole and install a basement on the horse. Get another and install an attic. Have a party inside the horse. DON'T invite the big people. Ask if they have any ice since you ran out. ***** giggle pause ***** Sorry, I think I just got my next character concept. Where was I? Oh, yes. Leave milkbones for the lyco. Give him a flea collar. Whistle and make kissy noises and say, "Here boy!" ground chili powder... loin cloth... warrior in armor wash your red socks with the clerics white robes. twice. |
| e-z0r01-26-05, 06:01 AM | Sleeping fighter + Superglue in the a) Teeth b) Nose c) Lips d) foreskin (Owwwww... Someone actually did this.) e) Tip of the thumb and index finger f) Any other place. Other uses for superglue: Superglue + Caltrops + Saddle = YEAOW! Superglue + Sword + scabbard.. Superglue + tent door at night (take any sharp objects away first. Or use superglue on them, too!), then collapse the tent |
| CzarGarrett01-26-05, 10:07 AM | Fireworks- Claim there's a Dragon attacking any heavy sleepers- put them on a raft in the middle of a lake while they're asleep get some sort of way to make one of you look like a monster and drag the other away replace knives with just the hilts in the sheath |
| arimus0901-26-05, 09:32 PM | OK...combos: Superglue the bottom of one boot and grease the other. superglue sword into scabbard grease the handle. scream whenever it's your watch...once everyone has awakened go kick a rock or tree trunk then tell everyone never mind it was nothing cut the hair off of the horse tails as the next full moon nears...strip..glue the hair to your bodies and run around camp howling...bite someone or something. Try to get the lynco to fetch...constantly throw sticks out in front of it...never give up...name him after a pet that your character had when he was little. Tell everyone that you can eat swords...convince fighter to give you there sword and leave bite marks in the handle... make a campfire in the breast plate of someones armor once they have ditched it for the night...use their weapon to stir the embers before every battle try to give all pc's a hug and tell them that you love them use the spell casters components to flavor your meals taste everyone elses food only after they have started eating it...spit it back out on their plate saying "yuck that tastes awfull, how can you eat that?" Then order the exact same thing Tie little bells to other pc's where they can't find them, but they can hear them carve idols to many gods give them to the cleric for safe keeping...one better ask the cleric to teach you how to worship that god. Switch gods every week glue notches of arrows...grease the bows grease breast plates of fighters...take them sleding call yourself by the others name moon the lynco want more? |
| Lily_Knight01-27-05, 12:28 AM | Each take turn at Pick Pocketing one party member's water bottle, empty it, and put it back. Create plausable alibies for each other. It will drive the other character nuts since his water bottle is always empty when he clearly remembers filling it up not so long ago. |
| Alynn01-27-05, 12:53 AM | 2 words... Dutch Oven |
| Bane01-27-05, 05:28 PM | Superglue the inside of their boots. When you're approaching a town, splash water on the front of the cleric's robes. Apologize to the townsfolk, and ask the innkeeper if he has waterproof sheets for the cleric. Repeat. When everyone else is asleep, move all of their equipment to different tents. Try on the cleric's robes when he isn't around. Hem them because they're too long. Be helpful. Ask if you can help carry the fighter's gear. Slip it into a bag of holding. When he asks for it back, tell him that you must have left it behind when you stopped for water. Offer to go back for it. If he agrees, take his horse with you so the horse can carry it. Tie the horse up somewhere out of sight. Come back with his gear. Ask him if he want's you to go back for the horse. Repeat. Get a dagger with a oversized hilt. Swap it for his sword. Giggle when he unsheathes his mighty 6" long blade. Buy a marked deck of cards. Cheat the necromancer out of everything he owns. Praise each other for the slightest things. "Good job killing that goblin." "Great work flipping that coin." Compliment the rest of the party on things they'd rather you didn't mention. "That was amazing how you managed to fool that guy into thinking we killed the dragon!" 'That guy' is standing about 5' away. The necromancer wakes up to find you trying to play xylophone on his ribs. Steal everyone elses stuff, and plant it on random people. Steal everyone elses gold, donate it to an orphanage, and plant notes on the party that start: "A donation has been made in your name..." See if they are willing to go ask an orphanage for their money back. Learn to juggle. Practice with valuable and/or fragile items. Learn a language they don't know. Talk to each other in it constantly. Set up your tent inside one of their tents. Tell them it's to keep the wind out. |
| penchant01-28-05, 03:00 AM | Instead of learning a language, make one up. The entire vocabulary of the language is, "Kai-chi-chi." |
| e-z0r01-28-05, 04:23 AM | Instead of learning a language, make one up. The entire vocabulary of the language is, "Kai-chi-chi." Or "chicken". |
| penchant01-28-05, 05:46 AM | Chicken-Chicken e-z0r? Chicken! Chicken Chicken, Chicken. _________________ Chicken. Chicken Chicken! Chicken Chicken. Chicken-Chicken!? |
| e-z0r01-28-05, 08:06 PM | Chicken-Chicken e-z0r? Chicken! Chicken Chicken, Chicken. _________________ Chicken. Chicken Chicken! You have NO idea how funny that post looked like when I saw it at the end of this topic. Oh christ. Laughed out loud with my friend on the telephone. Had to tell him I'm not laughing at him. Anyways, it wasn't my idea. It was off some comic book page somewhere, I don't know where. I tried to look for it just now but couldn't find it. Anyway, in it, this woman invents the world's most simple language. Everyone can learn to talk it in an instant, as it only has one word. Chicken. The horrid reality dawns on the woman when the whole world suddenly actually starts using the language. Now she can't talk to anyone, doesn't understand anyone. Because all there is is Chicken. In every shop window, in every newspaper: "Chicken." "Chicken!" "Chicken?" "Chicken: Chicken." |
