| Archmage_Vall07-06-06, 08:19 PM | Achilles would probably be a quasi-deity fighter/duelist, with damage reduction 9999/heel. So, to hurt him at all, you'd have to make called shots at his heels. |
| CryoSilver07-06-06, 08:26 PM | Nah, just give him DR 15/-; invincible mythical figures shouldn't be invincible in D&D, which about your own "mythical hero," in many senses. |
| JollyRotten07-06-06, 08:35 PM | This is what I've got for Achilles so far Hero of the Trojan war Achilles was son of the sea nymph Thetis and King Peleus Achilles was the best of the Greek heroes of the Trojan War. When Achilles was a baby, his mother dipped him in the river Styx. This made Achilles invulnerable everywhere but on his heels where his mother had to hold on to him while dipping him in the water The Armor of Achilles Created by Hephaestus and said to be impenertrable The Sheild of Achillies The Shield was forged by Hephaestus and decorated with two very different images. Part of the front of the sheild has scenes of the glory of war. But featured more prominately on the shield are scenes of peace, home, and family, things Achillies never got the chance to know. The Pelian Spear Achilles' great spear. Created by Hephaestus and given to Peleus his farther at his wedding with Thetis Xanthus and Balius Achilles immortal horses, Hera endowed them with human speech they were the offspring of the west wind Zephyrus and the harpy Celaeno |

| Archmage_Vall07-06-06, 08:52 PM | I'd say add Heavy Fortification to the +5 Adamantine Breastplate. He should have a shortsword, in addition to his spear, shouldn't he? A +5 Keen Shortsword, perhaps? |
| CryoSilver07-06-06, 08:56 PM | No one told ME shortsword. |
| Archmage_Vall07-06-06, 08:57 PM | He had one in the movie. That counts for something, right? :P But, in the movie, Achilles was more of a lightly armored DEX-based fighter. So it might not count for much after all. |
| CryoSilver07-06-06, 09:03 PM | If you watch much TV or many movies, which I don't. But anyways. +5 shortsword. Done and done. |
| JollyRotten07-06-06, 09:21 PM | Achilles got his sword from his father hes what I've got for him Peleus An Argonaut he is the son of Aeacus, King of Aegina.Peleus and Telamon, his brother, killed their half-brother, Phocus and fled Aegina to escape punishment. In Phthia, Peleus was purified by Eurytion and married Antigone, Eurytion's daughter. Peleus accidentally killed Eurytion during the hunt for the Calydonian Boar and fled Phthia. Peleus was purifed of the murder of Eurytion in Iolcus by Acastus. In Iolcus, Peleus lost a wrestling match in the funeral games of Pelias, Acastus' father, to Atalanta. Astydameia, Acastus' wife, fell in love with Peleus but he scorned her. Bitter, she sent a messenger to Antigone to tell her that Peleus was to marry Acastus' daughter; Antigone hanged herself. Astydameia then told Acastus that Peleus had tried to rape her. Acastus took Peleus on a hunting trip and hid his sword, then abandoned him right before a group of centaurs attacked. Chiron, the wise centaur, returned Peleus' sword and Peleus managed to escape. He pillaged Iolcus and dismembered Astydameia, then marched his army between the pieces. After Antigone's death, Peleus married the sea-nymph Thetis and fathered Achilles by her. As a wedding present, Poseidon gave Peleus two immortal horses Balius and Xanthus. Their wedding, however, was also the beginning of the quarrel that led to the judgement of Paris. The Sword of Peleus A magic sword that makes its wielder victorious in the battle or the hunt |
| jasper07-07-06, 08:31 AM | if you can buy an old copy of 1e dieties and demigods. It has a lot stated up already. Of course these reminds me of old arguement I had with player name Gary who thought King Arthur should be higher level than Lancelot. It would also help to tell us your power level in your campaign. |
| babysamurai07-07-06, 08:34 AM | He had one in the movie. That counts for something, right? :P In the movie he was also a giant batty-boy, but let's not get into that. |
