Have you ever seen a psion so fine? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-13-07, 04:09 AM So I'm lookiing for opinions on my latest idea:

Race: Tibbit (Dragon #135)
Class: Psion 8 (Kineticist)
Feats: Hidden Power [Compression]
Overchannel
Talented
Body Fuel
Psionic Body

Idea: As a Tibbit, I gain the ability to transform into a housecat for as long as I like. Using the Compression power, I cat make the cat form fine. So, here I am, a cat between 2" and 6", with a +8 to both AC and attacks (and I still have 30' base speed). The campaign starts off at level 8, but at next level, I'll be able to ride my flying psicrystal and sit above the battle, taking potshots at the enemy.

Opinions?

03-13-07, 04:15 AM sounds good. Thiers a oa race that can change into tiny creatures i think (but it might be only small) and in 3.5 it does not have a level adjustment (per one of the dragon mags that update it)

Everything looks good except the la. But if your willing, then its worth it.

They don't have a LA cos Dragon #135 predates the LA mechanics by like 12 years.

Any DM who is considering allowing pre-3e material in his game should - nay, must - adjust said material to fit within the 3e mechanics, which includes assigning LA to new races.

03-13-07, 09:38 AM Tibbits were reprinted in Dragon Compendium Vol. 1, and as such are 3.5 compatable. That is the form I am using, and it has no level adjustment.

Which would have been a salient and useful point to have made up-front rather than referencing 19 year old magazine.
