I have been looking for D&D players in my area for several months to no avail. I have posted on the gamers classifieds and the only replies I have are me bumping my post.I have checked my local gaming stores and have had no luck. If anybody has an idea as to how to find a group of gamers please let me know.

Here are some suggestions:

1. Look in the phone book for all the towns/cities you go to. Check under "Hobby Stores", "Game Stores", and "Comic Stores". Might check "Collectibles" too. Go to each of them. If the even remotely include gaming products of the type you are into, ask at the desk if they have a flier rack or bulletin board or know of any gaming groups. Ask about games clubs.

2. Go online and search for "role playing" and "looking for a game". Check the sites. You might also try "role playing", "games club", and the name of the nearest large city. I found Google to be a good tool.

3. At the game stores, collect fliers for all upcoming science fiction or gaming related conventions. Go to them. Find the gaming room. Sign up for a few games. Talk to the other gamers.

Try using the search function on these boards. I just ran an advanced search on the RPG Classified Board using "Baltimore" and got 18 threads, not counting ones started by you. Another good website with a player classified section is www.enworld.org
