:D Hello, i'm a young lv. 4 Half-Elf Paladin, and i'm looking to expand my repetoire, what prestige class would be best suited for me? (Not Blackgaurd!) I'd like to be able to keep my Paladin abilities and complement them.

Blackguard!!

...Awwww...Blackguards are so cool!

Well, if you don't want to be a cool blackguard (lol), there are a few other classes that you could take up. I'd suggest Hierophant (as listed in the DMG) for the simplicity and for complementing your Paladin levels unless you want to cross-class into something different in order to widen your skills.

1. Hunter of the dead (CW)

2. Knight of the Chalice (also CW)

3. Purple Dragon Knight (also CW)

4. Kenai (guess)

5. Justiciar (look lets just say there all from the CW)

6. Knight protector

7. Cavalier

There you go, seven Prcs, same book, can still advance in Paladin. If you do not have the CW, better get it!

I suggest the 3.5 Paladin thread in the optimization board.

...DON'T!! I'm currently about to start out my own Paladin and I looked over all the PrCs... personaly, I didn't like much of anything that I saw. I think going straight Pali is going to work best... at least for my Pali, however, if you're Pali seems to fit in better with what those PrCs are then you should pick the best one. If you follow Hereines then go with the Shining Blade. If you're a weapons specialist, then go with Kensai (not Kenai). Divine Crusader might work if that's more along the lines of what your Pali is, but this is more or less up to how the character is functioning. You don't HAVE to take a PrC... you can just go Pali and keep getting the Smite Evil and more spells.

Fist of Raziel is a realy good Paladin PRC (Book of Exalted Deeds) that gets good spellcasting and realy realy good smite evil abilities. A lot of people mix Paladin levels with a level of Cleric or Favored Soul in order to advance the better spellcasting with the FoR levels.
