I need help getting my DM to allow a venerable (with the bonuses) dragonwrought kobold sorcerer build.

I read a lot on the board and liked the build, but I got stopped at 'kobold can't be veneralbe' :P

I do not yet have RotD. so I would really appreciate if anyone can give me chapter and verse on the following parts of the build, so I can cite them to my DM. :)

1. Desert Kobold (I don't want to take the CON penalty)

2. Kobolds can be venerable.

3. Venerable gives a +3 to mental stats (ie Int, Wis, Chr)

this character I can play. I will at least get a decent Chr. and can get bonus caster level for the price of one feat, 4hps, and some $ with greater draconic rite.

Would love to also convince my DM to allow

4. White Dragon Spawn as AL+1.

5. Bonuses for being white dragon spawn.

6. Allow Dragon Lore Feat.
(this may be a loser as it seems hard to argue that dragonwrought kobolds are true dragons, but hey if you got a good reference I'll take it)

Thanks in advance, and yes I'm a noob :ayyyy!:

Are you talking age-wise or new to the forums? For the former, Princess Bride is fairly well known; if the latter, look who's talking, Mr. I've-been-here-for-a-month. ;)

@OP: I don't know about 4, 5, and 6, but 1 is in Unearthed Arcana and the SRD (here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/environmentalRacialVariants.htm#desertKo bolds)), 2 is self-evident (every race has a venerable age category, though the exact age range varies with race), and 3 is in Chapter 6 in the PHB, in the Aging chart.

Re #2: I belive in Races of the Dragon it has been stated that Kobolds age as dragons do (ie, Wyrmling, Adult, Great Wyrm, etc), which means that they DO NOT age the standard way and acrue bonuses/penalties.
However, since RoD is a splat book, you can always ask that this be removed (though as a Venerable kobold you're going to have a horrid Con score even with Desert Kobold variant, -6 Con, Str, Dex. I assume you're going to pull the polymorph/reincarnate/raise dead into adult body cheese?)

Re #4: Remember, if show your DM this, and he then allows it then you can guarentee that he'll make use of it, say a white dragon arriving, and ordering you to kill the party.

Re #6: Dragonwrought Kobolds are not True Dragons, you can't get this feat.

#2: Kobolds can be venerable.

If you're starting at level 1 (assumption on my part), what've you been doing for your whole life?

Yea, had to come up a back story for that, this is the first draft I sent the DM, before he emailed back that Kobolds can't be venerable. (going dragonwrouth w/o venerable didn't seem worth it) (love that +3 Chr for sorcerer)

for back story of why this guy is traveling with the party, here is a draft.
Given party is basically good, and cleric worships a good god;

Drask's egg had the usuall spots associated with 'dragon-wrought' and the Urzican tribe was proud of this clutch's number of dragon-wrought offspring. the shaman and cheiftain beleived this to be a blessing from the dragons and begain to make great plans for how the Urican tribe would expand its range.

Drask went to the temple to train with the rest of the dragon-wrought, but unlike the others, his scales were not tinged with the color of a dragon, nor did he show apttitude for combat or sorcery, infact, he seemed simply to be a somewhat undersized, sickly, kobold with wings.

(Drask is dragon-wrought, but due to a weird auto-immune effect, his dragon heritage did not manifest, until he reached the age of venerable. A kobold biochemist could pointout that this was probably due to the effect of the K-roxing hormone, produced by male kobolds of breeding age, Drask had a remarkably high amount of this hormone during his breeding years and this suppressed the development of his dragon-wroughtness)

Once Drask reached the age of venerable, when the production of K-roxing ceases in male kobolds, causing the dreaded male kobold condition of extreme crankyness, called Keopause, Drask, for the fist time, fully developed his dragon-wrought characteristics.

Hey if you realized that you weren't going to ever get laid again, for the rest of your life, ever, you would be cranky too :)

But until that age, poor Drask was at the temple, watching all the other dragon-wroughts flourish, train, and leave. After the first few years, the temple masters decided Drask wasn't really dragon-wrought but just some deformed kobold, so they stoped trainig him. Drask was quite charismatic (will have an 18), so he talked the temple masters out of banishing or killing him, and into allowing him to simply serve in the temple.

Drask watch the rise and fall of his clan from the isolation and security of the temple. (remember ambitious chieftains?).

Well the cheiftains reached too far, made too many enemies, and thus brought on the extinction of the Urzican tribe.

In the final battle, an alliance of gnolls and hobgobins are attacking the temple slaughting the last remneits of the Urzican tribe.
A the same time. The Cleric and Ranger ?? who are serving in an army ?? (some backgroud brian told me) are in the area with a squad or two to secure the flank, pass, etc.

They seize the opportunity to 'get rid of a few pesky hobgoblins, etc' and mop up.

During the mop up. Drask, who has lived in the temple for 100 years and knows all the secrets, saves, or at least helps the cleric/ranger, by dropping a hobgoblin who was about stab/poison, etc/ the cleric/ranger and providing information about how to avoid some traps, sneak behind the gnoll barricade by using a secret passage.

At this point, Drask is the last of his tribe, who he did not have a high opinion of anyway (based on the way he was treated, and the way the cheiftans seem to care more about territory than Kobolds),

the cleric/ranger ?etc decide not to kill the sickly mutant kobold (Drask is not really sickly, just slight build with a str probably of 8) because he helped/saved them. And the more they got to know him, (letting that 18 chr come out) the more they liked him.

He also provided invaluable information about the local area. (100 years worth) Drask decides to travel with them as they represent a new perspective on the world. Drask was always taught the typical Kobold view of the world and has lived long enough, and seen enough, to question that view

Thanks I figured #4, 5, 6 were pushing it. (I offered to play Pun-Pun at first level :D )

But I am pretty sure #1, 2, 3 are black letter rules. (found a reference to pg 39 RotD where it is supposed to say the negatives of aging do not apply to dragonWroughts)

Thansk for the help, DM agreed to 1, 2, 3.

I gave up 4, 5, 6 (which I knew were a streach)

going to be a fun crancky old kobold.
