| The_Epic_Paladin03-20-04, 11:20 PM | Okay I'm not surrounded by crazy people but over 80% of the party is a few pages short of a spellbook. The game is Forgotten Realms and we are in Silverymoon right now. Here is the party break down: NG Male Sun Elf Wizard (me): I'm very logic character with high Int, Wis and Cha but suck for the rest except Dex which is just enough to survive. Any way he is likes to think his actions through and never do anything rash...as you will soon see with the rest the part it never works out like that. CG Male Half-Orc Barbarian: The standard Barbarian. His longest sentence was like 5 words. As soon as anything similar to a problem comes he must crush it with his ax. He has no logic to his actions he just fights. And never bothers to do "thinkin’ things.” CN Male Human Rouge: The worst of the worst! He talks A LOT! And never says anything important really. He is talks and talks till some one gets :censored::censored::censored::censored: :censored::censored:. He drives the party's ranger crazy! He thinks I am out to get his writings (don't ask). He also has to draw a crowd in town and is bit of an over actor LG Male Dwarf Cleric: He is the only sane member of the party but me. He trust the power of his god and tries to do what’s right. He distrust most orcs and other evil races and is the only character that my wizards sees as half way logical. CN Female Human Ranger: She is a bit brash. Ex: One time we were in a bar and slightly drunk patron attempted to put the moves on her so…she punched him in the face and got kicked out of the bar. Well, we can't go back to that pub. Everyone in the group pulls their weightt and they are all good at role playing but they are more than the normal chaotic. I can deal with the party but I just wanted to see if any one else had to be the only sane character surrounded by crazy people |

| KAPtain Braindead03-21-04, 02:18 AM | The rogue is probably saving his sanity for his old age when he'll really need it. However, if his savings plan too extreme, he might not live long enough to reap the benifits. A gentle rebuke (a.k.a. dork slap) applied at an appropriate moment will undoubtly work wonders at reigning the chaos. The barbarian is not a problem. If you want to help him encourage useful skills that will involve some thinking. Handle Animal is probably underdeveloped, yet it helps build leadership skills and psychology (understanding motivation). The survival skill involves more thinking than you might be giving him credit for. Also encourage the knowledge skills (dungeoneering and nature) as well as the disable device skill. |
| Geethree03-21-04, 02:22 AM | Odd, I just started a FR game in Silverymoon myself. I think everybody, at some point, feels like the only sane character in their group. |
| Tenzhi03-21-04, 02:27 AM | That sounds like an extremely normal group to me... Except for that weird Vulcan who thinks he's an elf. ;) |
