Lion Falcon Monk

I just bought D&D 2 days ago and i have 2 huge questions on it

First can i use my lion falcon monk even though its my first game and his level is 8? or do i have to start with a level 1 monster?

Second is what do the points on the back of the D&D character sheets stand for? my monk says 10 points on it what does that mean?

I would like to help, but I have no idea what you're asking.

It sounds like the first question is asking if you can play a multi-species character. There are specific rules for this in the Savage Species handbook. Well, not always specific rules, but a lot of guidelines. However, I don't think you should get into that yet. Stay humanoid for a while, it'll do you good. Also, play Neverwinter Nights. That's been the best introduction I can give people to DND.

I agree, your questions are not quite precise.

Neverwinter Nights is excellent, but if you want to learn version 3.5 rules then play Temple of Elemental Evil. The rules and spells are version 3.5 whereas Neverwinter Nights is based on version 3.0 and there are a lot of differences in the spells used versus the actual 3.0 rule books (if you are using a spell based character).

We figured out in his other thread that he's talking about one of the miniatures from the mini game. The Lion Falcon Monk is a 10 point mini rare from Dragoneye. Least thats what Google says.
