| SearcherOmega10-24-04, 02:34 PM | I'm in a 3.0/3.5 Hybrid homebrew campaign, playing as a Chaotic Good Half-Elf bard. Now, our group rested in a farmhouse where a murder had taken place to get out of the rain, and we were assaulted by a ghost. We had no magical weapons (low level at the time) and our cleric failed all four of his turning attempts. I was able to blind the ghost with flare, and the cleric and druid were able to strike with some CLWs, but for the most part, we were screwed. Then, the druid gets the idea to use Magic Fang on her wolf companion. Now, the ghost's still up and strong, but after an elongated battle, the wolf was victorious. Now, everyone is practically praising the ground on which this life-saving wolf walks. The cleric calls him the party's most valuable member, the druid's giving him extra special attention, the halfling's stopped being rude to it (a major courtesy for our halfling), and the bard's almost literally singing his praises. Now... I need ideas for how to make the bard literally sing his praises. As I am the bard, I've determined that I'm going to use the week between sessions to write up a song for Spirit the wolf and serenade him the next morning. However, I'm not the best at composition, so I was searching for ideas. Care to help me write The Woofy Song? :D |

I'll point out I only turned twice before I figured a better tactic would be to try and zap it with some healing spells, but thanks to some GOD-AWFUL rolls, I successfully botched all of my melee touch attempts, leaving us quite at the mercy of this mean little girl. Anyway, the wolf truely saved our butts, and he must be praised properly!!! |
