Help me decide in which class I want to level up. [Archive] - Wizards Community

The character I'm currently playing is a Knight 10 partied with a Rogue, Paladin/Anointed Knight, Mindblade, Wizard, and Cleric. We just reached enough EXP to level up, and I'm currently in the process of trying to decide whether I want to take Knight or Marshal for my next level. Here's the breakdown as I currently see it:

Pros For Knight:

*Get the third attack right away (sure would be nice to have)
*Shield Block +2 (not incredibly vital, but could make the difference, especially since I am the tank)
*Quicker access to Daunting Challenge (but shaking enemies is kind of weak anyway)
*Armor Specialization at level 12 (DR with the ability to share damage with others is a very logical combination)

Pros For Marshal

*Jump-start bonus to saves (whose idea was it to give Knights a weak fort save, anyway?)
*Access to auras could be more useful overall to the party
*More skill points so SOMEBODY in the party can have Spot/Listen (this is what happens when we don't consult each other before making the party)

When I add everything up, it's just too close for me to make a call. I tried to consult the RP angle, but I'm drawing blanks. So, I'm asking for the rest of you to make arguments for one way or the other. I'm not really trying too hard to optimize the character (I mean, the knight has a bunch of offensive orientied feats when, in retrospect, stuff like Combat Reflexes and Combat Expertise would have made much mores sense), but the question really does stand as which choice makes more sense in terms of gameplay, since the character really could go either way in terms of RP.

Feel free to ask more questions to job my thought process, since they are likely questions I haven't asked myself which could make the decision process easier.
