Your elf has already lived five or six of their lifetimes, in my opinion an elf would say something like... "Because I am an elf you speak about me in jest, because I am ten times as graceful as you "human" you throw jokes upon me, because I shall live to see your childrens children become old and I shall begin to pray that time will erased your idiocy." Or something like that...Make sure the players are mature enough to take the jab and grin. If your characters are evil, and your elf is a rogue it would go better if you backstab one of them then look at the other, while the first is bleeding at your feet, and say..."The next time it will be you at my feet in a crimson pool, so be wary of your tongue, human!" Disclaimer: If these suggestions get your character killed, I am in no way responsible. If the humans remove your elves little pointy ears, I am in no way responsible. If they do anything to your elf because of these suggestions I take credit for none of what has been said :D |
| Elrana09-06-04, 08:02 PM | When I was playing an elf that a human in the group took a dislike to I ignored all her jibes most industriously until eventually it reached the point where she asked straight out "doesn't it bother you that I hate you?" I replied "it doesn't bother me now, it won't bother me for the next fifty years and it will still not bother me centuries after you have died." That pretty much brought the futility of a human trying to rile an elf to light and she sulked for a bit but got over it in the end! :) Edit: If that doesn't work then Fireball and Chain Lightning their arses up and down the street for a bit while you fly over head with Shield, Mage Armour, Protection from Arrows and Improved Invisibility. Well, my elf is a seventeenth level Evoker! :D |
| Baron Stoonir Fel09-06-04, 10:21 PM | thats odd, for me at least it is the other way around. The big bad, all knowing, long living superior elves are picking on the lowly little humans. lol. Well anyway there are a bunch of ways to turn this into somthing both fun and interesting. You can add it into your campaign as a way to sort of boost your character's personal drive for success, surpass the expectations of your other party members, make them think more highly of your character. Even try saving their lives on occasion, if that does not work, well dont worry about it too much, just wait 50-60 years for the pitiful little things to pass away and then you will be the one with the last laugh. |
