The whole 'dice' thing... if you're asking about the whole d20 thing, the basic mechanic for just about everything in the game is 1d20 + Bonus vs. a target difficulty or armor class. Armor class (AC) is 10 + your various modifiers. Basic modifiers are your dexterity modifier, and the equipment bonus granted by armor or a shield or something If you haven't looked into the System Reference Document (SRD), I suggest you go to www.wizards.com/d20 and follow the links. |

| Albert Dante02-29-04, 05:29 PM | The dice thing? I guess you mean what 3d6, 2d8, 5d10, etc. means? if so, the number after the "d" represents how many faces there is on the dice you are to roll. a d6 is a simple dice with 6 faces (the cubic one you use for I dunno, Monopoly and all those games). The number before the "d" represents the number of dice to roll. So 3d6 means rollind a d6 3 times. |
