I'm working on a human male character for a new game. I'm trying to have him hit on most every female character he meets. I really could use some help working on his pick-up lines, though. Any ideas? (His class is healer, if that at all helps.)

Google "pick up lines" and the like. You will find all the information you need...in fact, there is too much of that information..

Might wanna add a bit more than just pick up lines, as it could get old real fast (as it does in real life)

I intend to. It's just a starting point. Something to help me get into character.

*pirate accent* Prepare to be boarded.

Works *every* time, if you're in full pirate regalia. If it doesn't, your DM's obviously railroading, or your pirate regalia wasn't full enough.

Plus, it doesn't get much more lecherous than a pirate. You win automatically.

You could play off the healer aspect and mention "playing doctor" a lot.

Other than that, how high is this guy's Charisma?

play up the "touching" aspect of cure spells.

if the character is religious, play up being a lecherous priest (might be out of line depending on your group)

demand favors for healing :)

assuming your dM and fellow players approve.... enjoy!

Make sure to get a season ticket for all of the local brothels.

Are you going for the suave approach to actually bed as many females as you can, or is it to gross them out? Lechers tend to be older than 20 methinks.

Invest in a good codpiece or something, maybe convince your DM to allow a 'lechery' skill , this should regulate your antics a bit and keep the rest happier.

Bluff, because you will always need to convince the barmaid that your sword is the biggest in town. And remember a wizards staff has a knob on the end and a hedgehog can never be buggerd at all.

How is your group with all of this?? Might be fun for a bit, or it might really iritate them.

I know it would irritate me.

First, talk with your group about boundries and whatnot.

Second, speak with your DM about it.

Third, what kind of 'class' is your lecher? Successful, Rejected, or Jester?

The Successful Lech- Actually succeeds at his (or her) attempts at getting the girl. High Bluff, Diplomacy, and Knowledge (Local) skills would be helpful as well as maybe Spot and Sense Motive.

The Rejected Lech- Thinks he's the Successful type, but has some major flaw that lands him the slap. Peeks in on paladin maidens dressing for example. Acts blind and tries to blatantly 'feel up' a barmaid. Suggested skills include Sleight of Hand, Spot, Listen, Hide, and Move Silently.

The Jester- This Lecher is borderline Successful and Rejected. Occasionally drops his pants by accident when trying to woo a woman in public. Asks the angry vile bandit babe out while fighting. Might even have only one actual love interest but still looks at all the other hens in the hen-house! Suggested skills include Diplomacy, Knowledge (Local), Listen, Sense Motive, and Spot.

Hey, a guy using the Miniatures Handbook to make a lech! Good form! I did the same thing as a marshal.
Step One: Pick your Race.
This is crucial. It helps to be something exotic but not too strange. Bizarro races and gnomes aren't going to be mac daddies. My suggestions are Aasimars, Feytouched, and Half-Elves. Aasimars for the Charisma and the pretty-boy God blood aspect. Having a +2 to your casting stat and already being beefcake is in character, too. Feytouched are exotic, nice caster boost. Half-elves get the boosts to the talking abilities so that makes sense, too. Or, slap Magic-Blooded on just about any race. -2 Wisdom for
+2 Charisma and a few low level spells to impress ladies and some nice skill bumps if you really want to play up the magic/exotic side of the character.
Step Two: The Skills
Try to get as many synergy bonuses to Diplomacy and Bluff as possible and max them. Use Gather Info to find the good looking women and all the brothels. Sense Motive is never amiss, either. its fun to role/rollplay your character trying to figure out if that last line or "accidental" touch was a little over the top.
Step 3: The Equipment
Glibness, f'shizzle. Have potions and if you have friends who can cast it, so much the better. Glamour from The Books of Eldritch Might is nice. Makes you look very good, +5 on Diplomacy, Gather Info, and Bluff permanent for 900 GP or 2000 GP as an item. Circlets of Persuasion, +3 to all your charisma skills is nice. Personally made items to give competence bonuses are cheap and appropriate, too. Don't go overboard here, a few grand should make your healer Don Juan.
If you really want to make this a big part of the character the Marshal is great from the same book. That double Charisma + 3 bonus on Diplomacy and double charisma on all checks is VERY good.

One key thing to remember that timing will probably make or break this character. If you want to be annoying then yeah, hit on everyone. If you want to be funny, wait until witty points to spring your pick up lines.

Doing that can most likely make the character a very memorable character as opposed to an annoyance. Your party may even play along with your character if you do it in a witty manner.

Remember that it's not always what you say, but when you say it.

Also, if you play one of the more.... eccentric lechers, remember to always save face if things go south. Don't be the guy who has to be dragged kicking and screaming about the unfairness of it all out of the city drainage system, after being interrupted from hitting on a sorceress lich by a party member attacking her. :shifty:

Lemme play Dad (I am one, after all) and give you a little cautionary advice on this, before you begin.

I had a guy I like to call The King of All Disruptive Players in my game for about eight years. I complain about this guy - too often I admit - on these boards all the time, and use him as the best example I can think of, whenever problem player threads come up. Just yesterday I replied to a post and mentioned that this guy was so bad that to this day, three years after his departure, myself and most of my players are still scarred from dealing with him.

Now, probably not coincidentally, when this guy went to Ren Faire with us, he called himself "Letcher" (with a "t" in the middle, to make it look more like a common English name). That was his in-fair persona.

I say "not coincidentally," because that was also one of his favorite aspects with which to invest in every single one of his characters. We have for quite some time, had an abundance of female players and/or male players playing female characters in our game. The KoADP thought it was his duty to squeeze every butt (figuratively, thank God) that he came across, whether attached to a female NPC, female PC played by female player, or even female PCs played by male players.

It was not limited to squeezing butts. All manner of inappropriate dialogue was exchanged, hints were made, double-entendres flew and discomfort reigned as it slowly became apparent that he was not always kidding, nor limiting his advances to the characters.

So my advice? For God's sake, limit the range of your lecherous banter to the NPCs. At least your DM is more likely to take the abuse in a humorous vein, since (hopefully) he is prepared for just about any RP eventuality. Don't risk approaching other players in this way, even if they clearly seem ready for it. No matter how good your intentions, you never know when it will be seen as abuse.

Others have touched on this, but yeah, float the idea amongst your group and agree on some informal rules. A lighthearted character who is just in for a bit of harmless fun and isn't constantly, insistently fixated on Just One Thing can be amusing. If your character is nothing but a constant sleaze, he can get annoying (if he is playing Upskirts and Undies more than Dungeons and Dragons) or just downright creepy (depending just how far and how crass you roleplay him).

I'd probably restrict it to NPC-only too; other male players are probably going to get annoyed or creeped out by excessive transgender flirtation if they have female characters, and female players with female characters probably didn't come to a D&D game to be leched at.

What's that annoying guy from "Family Guy", Quagmeyer?

That's a true letch.

Another great letch (if being a letch is anything to strive to be great in) was the guy from "Revenge of the Nerds". Remember the saying, "We got Bush, we got bush".

How many people in your party have Spellcraft? Who's to say that a revive spell doesn't require mouth-to-mouth?

To further answer questions, he's a 36 year old human. Levels are in the Healer class. (Don't say it sucks. I'm de-sucking it as best I can. I love a challenge.) He's a former priest. Has exalted feats. Neutral Good alignment. 18 charisma. He's carefree, and light hearted. The letching isn't supposed to get to the point of creepy or disgusting. (More of a jester thing... To add character and fun. Being careful to limit it.)

Sadly, the only female character is this character's niece (foresight on the player's part).
