hi my group and i are kind of in a sticky situation, we are currently a group of four (ranger, monk, rogue, and cleric.) with 3 characters sitting out cause they couldn't make the last game (samurai, wizard, and barbarian.). in our last game we were going back to a dungeon that we had to flee, we were a small group of five (ranger, monk, rogue, fighter/mage, cleric)

we entered to find the dungeon sealed off except for one room, a small circular room with three large statues in it (a.k.a golems), the fighter/mage attacked one and it became activated, 1 turn after the activation a fireball dropped from the ceiling and the other two golems activated. everybody survived and the golems were destroyed. after we leave the cave and setup for lunch outside the cave two figures are walking down the road towards us, a halfling female, and a high elf male, we had cast a detect evil upon them to see if they were evil and came up as not being evil.

they go to inspect the cave cause they heard, "there was treasure at this dungeon". my character (ranger) and the rogue, both lvl 9 at the time, went to find the other entrance to the dungeon because we knew that one existed, so since we leave the group for a while the dm asks us to leave the room, before we go the monk says that he'll come too but i tell him no cause he should stay and protect the cleric and fighter/mage (clr 6, ftr/wiz 8, mnk 9).

after that the rogue and i head upstairs in my house, approxametly 15 min later the monk comes up and says that he left the two characters alone with the two strangers to go hunting, even though we as a group had just eaten lunch. he goes back down stairs because he gets back to the group before we do because the rogue and i had traveled further than he. he gets back and uses the rod of thunder and lightning to send a lightning bolt at the two because they try to attack him and the clr and fgt/wiz are no where to be found. so he runs finds to find us, he finds me first cause i'm quicker in the forest, and we head back quickly. we don't see the two strangers and the three of us go into the cave, we find the two charred remains of the clr and f/w, i cast a protection from elements on my self for fire, then the halfling girl sends a lightning bolt down the corridor at the three of us we all save due to evasion, then go after her, meanwhile the elf is now firing arrows at us from outside, i use my flaming burst bow to volley some arrows back at him.

i hit once, then the monk uses the greatest power from his rod to do 9d6 points of damage, the guy saves for half, but he's weak now i come out of the cave to hit him with more arrows, the halfling female teleports beside the elf and pulls him down in to the bushes, i still fire three arrows when they are concealed, two miss but one i get a critical on doing 3d8+9 and 2d10 fire damage, i do good damage then our rogue takes his staff or rod of frost out and uses cone of cold that does 10d6 cold damage, the guy dies and the the girl teleports his body and herself away, they had stripped all the magic items from the f/w and clr including a ring of regen.

the guys rolled new characters so we still have a wiz and a clr, we met the clr first and are helping him avange is fallen comerads, on the first night on our way to the dungeon where his "group" was ambushed, the girl comes in invisible, and steals the rod of thunder and lightning, now this girl is really starting to get on my nerves, so i want to kill her and avenge the deaths of my friends and get back the items they stole, the beshaba brat is a rog 10 / wiz 9. the current group thats there is as follows (rog 10 , rgr 10 (both only needing 1 pt of exp to lvl up), mnk 10, and clr 6 (domains destruction ,and fire). any info on how we might slaughter this halfling wench would be greatly appreatiated. ps i have a way that i can detect if shes around even if she's invisible by using my sunblade because she is LE, the blade glows around any evil creature.

A piece of advice - more people will read your post (and thus give you helpful responses) if you re-format it into seperate paragraphs.

It will be much more reader-friendly that way.

Set traps by your rogue, she is mage and thus she has very limited possibilities to detect them.

would it be good to setup multiple alarm spells and can those spells be placed on an item or is it just an area spell,

find a couple of new patsies...er....adventuring companions...and give them some really nifty awesome super magical things (note the heavy sarcasm)

in reality, these redshirts are carrying around worthless (mostly) junk with magic aura cast on it...then trap the :censored: with them

also, having a clone/illusion/scarecrow where YOU usually sleep (not that you should sleep any one place for more than 1 or MAYBE 2 nights) to take that first attack

the thing to remember, casters cant cast when they have arrows in their backs....like 30 or 40 of em...

also, get some nice magical items/gold/awesome cool dohicky...put some paralysis contact poison on it...wizards and fort saves are a bad combination

then, when she's knocked out and helpless, you have all kinds of ways to get the location of all the magical stuff she knocked off earlier, just make sure to level drain or feeblemind her so she has no more magic!

No matter what you do your DM will still be Cheesy!

I have found that in situtaions like this you will only frustrate yerself further if you are out for revenge.

Wanna get the DM back?

Just Ignore your Dms "pet" Unbeatable caster.

He will be full of himself when he follows you around with his invisible ubermage, and steals the loot he gave you to begin with, whatever, give him a cookie and a big "thumbs up".

Eventually he will get tired of playing with himself and move on.

If the "Uber/unbeatable/too-high-level-for-the-players/ "pet" mage kills the rest of the group..... Well, game over anyway . now you can start a new campaign!

If he is Dming that one too.... ask him if this campaign will have appropriate challenge rated foes.

I have never taken the following advice. Although it is the best advice.

"Don't play with that DM".

I regret not leaving games/wretched Dms i have played/with in the past.

a bad D&D game is NOT better than no D&D game

actually the challenges are appropriate for the level some are at because of all the magic we have at our disposal, cause we took our her partner (three of us facing the two) who was pretty much the same level, and two of us took no damage. ( we LOVE evasion)
