| dreuganmistress01-13-04, 12:47 PM | I am starting a new D&D game in my area and none of us has played before. I have the books needed but still find creating a character record sheet a bit much. I need to see something in order to learn it LOL! Does any one have a completed sheet that I could look at and how you came about the numbers and such? Thanx Kim |
| Naeron01-13-04, 12:55 PM | Here you go. This is a text format sheet used in an online campaign setting. It includes most things you might possibly want. Apologies but I can't get the columns to line up that well. Although Haleric’s family have lived in Paludosus for over fifty years they have maintained many of the customs and memories of his grandfather’s homeland and passed these on to the younger generations. As with most of his kin Haleric served his term in the Paludosan army before feeling the call to explore the wider world and revisit the lands of his forebears. Of his 7 siblings 1 died in childhood, the eldest Balaman died serving with the Karnatkan Legion against Orc raiders and his younger sister Azsal died in skirmishes with the monsters that inhabit the swamps. His two elder brothers and elder sister work in the smithy alongside Haleric’s father and his younger sister has entered the priesthood of Naeron. After leaving the army he travelled to Mittendein with a merchant caravan and after some time visiting distant relatives he took service with an independent merchant who was making a journey to via Mittendein to trade with the dwarves of Thoradur for iron and steel. Unfortunately the merchant was so convinced of his cunning that he sold short measures and defective goods, leading to the arrest of the merchant and his guards and servants. After an investigation the guards were judged innocent of any wrongdoing and released. By this time however winter had set in and none of the merchant caravans remaining in Lorindar were hiring guards to travel south so Haleric decided to wait until spring rather than assay the perilous overland journey back to his homelands. He has been scraping a living in Lorindar for the past month and is always on the lookout for employment. =================================== Any Feat, Spell or Item not in Core Rulebooks: (detail fully) Hoplite (Regional, Fighter) Prerequisites: BAB +1, Proficiency with qualifying weapon and Shield, Region: Paludosus Benefit: When wielding a Spear, Longspear, Lance or Ranseur the character may also use a buckler, small or large shield and gain the shield's bonus to armour class. This feat does not grant any additional proficiencies with weapons so may only be used with weapons with which the character is normally proficient. Normal: A character wielding a two-handed weapon may not use a shield. Special: A fighter may select Hoplite as one of his fighter bonus feats. =================================== |
| Sylvain01-14-04, 07:57 AM | I think that you can download blank character sheets off of wizards.com, under downloads. Depending on what book you get, there might also be a completed character sheet in the back of the Player's Handbook (Though the player playing Regdar obviously can't do math, as indicated by his carrying capacity values). In addition, there is the character generator that used to come with 3.0. If you only have 3.5, I strongly recommend getting 3.0. Though 3.5 is probably more balanced - as well as more thorough, it has several inadequacies and strangeness, in my opinion. Overall, the blank sheets themselves are pretty self-explanatory. I must say, providing that entire sheet was very nice of you, Naeron. :) |
