So at my middle school we have an after-school D&D club with about 15 Players. Poor dungeon master having to DM 15 people....Anyway, I want to set up a side club where we meet at my house once per week however I dont understand the rules enough to Dm. Should I see if one of the members can DM or try to do it myself?

ask others to dm if you want but what you describe is how i became a dm. I loved the game and wanted to play more so i started cramming all the rules into my wee little brain and then just started running sessions, Just getting out there and running games is the best way to gain the experience needed to be a good dm. Oh and always remember people are giving their time to you so they can enjoy themselves, its about the player's not the npc's.
thats the big mistake dm's sometimes make(i used to :D ) the other mistake is giving the players to much cool stuff( no vorpal longswords of instant flaming death+17...........cant believe i put that in a game for 6th level pc's :P )

Yeah I was about to go by the DM Guide. I suppose I would have just made a shop with cheaper alternatives to the weapons in the players handbook. The reason that I want to run a seperate group is to have a small group. And to level up. Our club leader said we'll probably be lucky to get to level 3 by the end of the year and we'll just run our characters from that campaign in this one.

Hey!

Heres a useful link! www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/gs

It is the archive of all gamestoppers articles, and will help you learn some of the more complicated rules a lot easier. First read Stop that Spellcaster, then Grab that Otyugh, and so forth. Really helpful

Also, I am 13 and want to start up a D&D club at my school. Can you give me any advice on how to do this?
