| Brehon04-26-06, 03:36 PM | A gnome werewolf with four levels of druid has 6 hit dice. 4 hit dice for his druid levels and 2 animal hit dice from being a wolf. And they're all d8's which makes for easy math. If this is a PC, he is counted as either being an 8th level character (if he's an afflicted lycanthrope) or a 9th level character (if he's a natural lycanthrope). This is all regardless of what form he's in. When he levels up, he levels as a character class (not an animal). So all you have to do is just add whatever abilities/skills/saves/hit points you would normally have added for whatever class you take the level in. |

Afflicted werewolves do indeed have 2HD, Natural werewolves have 6HD, due to their wolf form being that of a Dire Wolf. MM3.5 has both version. -Rhuell |
