Hello
No body in our DnD group has played a hexblade character before, so i thought it would be cool to go something new.
The DM said that the arane resistance of the Hexblade worked like spell resistance. This would end up being an annoying abillity because it would block good spells cast upon me. I looked again at the wording and it says that arcane resistance adds charisma bonus to the saving throws against spell effects. It seems to me that this abillity would work like an Elves natural abillity of spell resistance, which just effects saving throws. Could you please clarify the Hexblade's abillity of arcane resistance for me?
Thank you.

Right, the Hexblade ability Arcane Resistance just adds to saving throws. Saves vs harmless spells are optional, so you don't need to worry about it blocking spells you don't want it to.

It's very much like the paladin's divin grace, except it only applies to saves against spells.

It's the same thing as the paladin's save bonus, but only applies to spell or spell-like effects.

And anyways, spell res coudn't block good spells if you didn't want them too. I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere, but you'll have to find someone else to clarify cause I don't feel like searching in the book.

No, SR actually does block good spells, unless you take a standard action each and every round that you want your SR to be lowered. It's actually quite a pain. My Rogue curses the day he found a Mantle of Spell Resistance at low levels, he's lost out on more Haste spells... (He really should have sold it, why is that item worth 90k?)
