hi, i need help creating a character [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-23-06, 08:47 AM I'm supposed to be starting in a campaign for D&D today after I get off work and am still trying to come up with ideas for a character.

I normally play a rogue, but am up for other ideas if someone can come up with a good idea for a character. haha

The thought that DM and I currently have in mind is for me to be a Rogue Dwarf that is cynical as hell.

Since they have yet to have a cynical character in their party.

Either way I'm thinking of sticking with the cynical aspect of it all but I'm not stuck on having to be a rogue like some people I've previously played with are stuck with the class that they are....

The basic rules of the game are available online, but the critical components -- i.e. any rules on actually making a character -- cannot legally be presented online.

It's worth it to buy a player's handbook.
