Sorry if its in the rules but ive looked and cant find it.

02-10-07, 01:42 PM Generally the suggested method is to find someone who want to run a game and then talk to them before you make your character - bc sometime quirky DMs have houserules that you might want to know about before you make your PC.

As for finding such a person, I suggest your local gaming store (or if you want an online game, there's boards somewhere which I'm sure someone else can actually give the link).

02-10-07, 01:43 PM ...its not in the rules, its is assumed you have at least one other person who knows the rules make a campaign where you take your character and place it in the DM's game.

if you cant find anyone, try hobby shops, or online, there is also an RPG gamer classified here (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=347) where you can find gamers from all over.

02-10-07, 05:44 PM Generally, DMs will not accept a pre-made character. They will want you to make one after they've set up the campaign and given you their rules and the like. Some will want you to roll stats and starting gold and the like in front of them. Others will want to help you through the whole process.

So it's better to not make a character before you even have a group with which to game.
