| DM_Erik01-14-05, 07:59 AM | HI, I've been ask to make a dragon character ECl 19 for a online roleplaying game. I've played many PC before but never this type of creature.. How do you build such a pc? Where do you start? Is there any reference in any book? I'm planning on using a Song Dragon from MoF. and I don't have the Draconomicon book! Thanks! |

So for example if the dragon has 5 HD and a LA of +3, the ECL 8. The LAs for Song dragons are in the Draconomicion and is +5 for wyrmling to young. That means that a young song dragon has a ECL of 16 so you can add 3 class levels to reach 19. The, reduce the dragons Str by 1 for every 4HD the dragon has which represents the ability increase dragons always put into Str. Then you reduce all ability scores by 10 or 11 to get the ability adjustment. For a young song dragon that are +4 Con +6 Int +6 Wis +8 Cha Now you build the dragon just like any other PC. Roll the ability scores like normal and assign them, assign feats, skills and ability adjustments and so on. The only problem is that They only appear in a 3.0 source and there fore have no own skill list, meaning you have to use the skill list on page 37 MoF as (very small) class skill list. One thing, you get feats and ability increases by HD, not by ECL. So while the dragon hat an ECL of 16, you still get only 4 feats and 2 ability increases because you only have 11 HD. Now just add 3 class levels like normal (gaining feats/ability increases when the HD reach 12) and you are finished. |
