I currently play a 4th level rogue and I want to multiclass to druid. Thing is, I'm not sure when. Can you give me some advice?

Being a rogue, and wanting to go to another core class, I would do it soon and continue in druid till you have only a max 1 lvl gap. You don't want that XP hit for to long, unless that does not matter to you. Other wise, hit 5th lvl to improve that sneak attack, then do some druid levels. Thats my suggestion at least.

euhm, depends on your race, if humon, no problem. And for the when, If either druid or rogue is not your faforite class, do it asap. Otherwise I'd have to agree that becoming lvl 5 rogue is good, bab, saves and sneak attack all improve.

It does depend on race. But, as already stated, if you're human no problem. But I would hit level 5 and then make the change.

Then you'll be advancing at -20% XP until you hit 7th level (Rogue 4/Druid 3)... assuming you start taking druid levels immediately. As other posters have pointed out, the sooner you do it, the quicker you'll be out of the Multiclassing Penalty Box.

I congratulate you, by the way. First rogue/druid I've heard of... probably because the two classes don't mesh very well in terms of power gaming. (Although a rogue capable of taking animal form - or a druid capable of evasion and sneak attacks - has its good points.)

You might want to look into prestige classes. Dunno what decent options you've got (are you 3.0 or 3.5?) - but there are bound to be a few prestige classes, particularly those designed for rangers, that would be suitable for your character concept.
