How many spells? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I have just dinged Wizard level 2. I’m human and have an INT of 17

I can’t figure out how man spells I have in my book, and how many I can cast in one day?

I know I have all level 0 in my book at start, but how many now at lvl 2?

I have specialized in Divination school.

All level 0 Cantrips
8 1st level spells of your choice, 4 of them must be from the Divination School of magic

You can prepare 4 level 0 Cantrips, and 3 level 1 spells per day

Each time you level up, you add 2 more spells to your spell book of your choice, of any level you can cast, but 1 has to be from divination school.
Look at pg. 8 of the 3.5 Player's Handbook to see the chart of how many extra spells per day you can cast.
You can also add more spells to your spellbook by copying spells out of another wizard's spellbook.

Since you are a divnination specialist, you can't put any spells from your prohibited school in your spellbook.
