how strong can you get? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-29-08, 01:25 AM I put this in players what to do as it is more of a creativity exercise than an actual character build... for now.

centaur cleric to kord 1/barbarian 7/warhulk 10, titan minor bloodline(1level)
start with an 18 strength, add any racial bonus, patron bonus +2 strength, +1 bloodline strength, +20 strength warhulk levels, +5 tome of strength, +6 item of strength, rage bonus... What else am I missinng?

Yes, alot of them. So far you have used up Inherint, and Enhancement bonuses.

There is still Unnamed, Profane, Divine, the good version of Profane (forget what it's called right now. and no Divine doesn't mean its a "good" bonus it means it's a bonus granted by a diety), Luck bonus.

Now to make an item that gives a Strength bonus other then enhancement you have you have double the price of the item. (these rules are in your DMG)

Take my Ogreon build. He is a ECL 10, level 1 barbarian, half-dragon half-ogre.
At ECL 10 he has STR 40 when raging.
Add to that as many levels as you want of warhulk and you just increased your basic STR bonus a bunch. Then add those items. Etc.

03-30-08, 01:03 AM The Hulking Hurler thread on the TO board ought to have the highest non-infinite, non-arbitrarily high carrying capacity for an ECL 20 character, or close to it. That should be pretty close to the highest possible non-infinite, non-arbitrarily high strength as well.

Thanks, I for some reason keep on forgetting this..

I have have done a house rule that if any character has a Profane bonus of any type they can not receave a Sacred bonus of any type, and vice versa.

This template is basically viewed as cheese by everyone. The LA needed for this to balance it out is insane. (+15 is the low estimate , with +18 being the median, and +20 being the high end)

miniatures handbook, its a fighter class that requires large character, they get 0 BAB bonus for all 10 levels, but they get +2 str per level, technicly still getting a +1 to hit per level , but its through the str bonus, not skill.
