ok im having extreme difficulty killing a vampire my main pcs has fought a few different times..hes about 30th level immune to silver sunlight garlic & all that other stuff, has a weapon that does godly amounts of damage (like 600 ish per round) a helmet that lets hm have all knowledge about past & present like where artifacts are located. A boot that lets him teleport instantaneously to anywhere he wants, and some other things crazy items.

i need to kill him becuase my ambition wants these artifacts because they are a part of a set in which i have the last peice he needs to, but he cant kill me, my diety is a clse friend to my character because i helped him reach god-ness. so if the vampire comes for me my diety will be waiting for him on our demiplane. My characters friends & family cannot leave the plane either because fear of being kidnapped for ransom. he knows we are looking for him as well as a lot of other dietys because we have told them about him and his threat to them. He also(the vampire) has 2 ancient wyrm red dragon barbarians about lv 15 who have been genetically altered to have unholy/fire breath attacks, they are under his control thorugh another one of the artifacts, that creates 2 dragon eggs per user of any color, that age 50X faster than usual and always do as he says, my character being a helper during part of finding all these(they had a divine treaty that they could not hurt each other until all peices were found) which they are now so he can kill me) has 1 ancient wyrm blue dragon ranger (unholy/lightning breath) and 1 regular blue ancient wyrm wizard about lv 7.

The dragons got their unholiness from the gaurdian of the dragon maker thing, we collceted some of his blood(he was an epic cr 50-ish drake thing out of mm2. i only had 1 vial to hold blood which i sold for a great price, and i collected a chunk of its brain which i got the blood from for my blue.

i had one idea where if i could get him to go into gaseous form use a bag of wind to blow him into a sphere of oblivion.

any other ideas and how could i make mine work? plus what are the rules for bag of wind i know its in 2nd ed but not sure about 3rd.

I would propose a hammergun, but I don't have it on me. Seriously, it sounds very insane to take on this Vampire, but I'm not really an expert at Epic.

How about...quiting? You're on a demi-plane with your friends and possibly family under the protection of a god. What more do you need and why. This is why I don't like Epic. There is no longer any real story or sense just one big uber-**** fight after another.

How about starting a new campaign, maybe one that looks at your current campaign from a 1st level point of view. If you can't beat him now maybe a new group of adventurers could have stopped him before he became so powerful.

theres is actually somewhat pf a story left we are at war with correlon lorathion and my main characters daughters are 2 of the people in his army using a homebrew myrmidon base class.

as for the other part it would take me soo much time to even begin to explain all that has happened in this realm for me to kill him before this happens.

Wait, what the hell?? How is a vampire immune to all forms of destroying undead? He needs to be affected by garlic and slightly haltered by silver and sunlight, unless there's some retarded feat that makes him immune to everything. That's stupid. If he's an undead, there's a guaranteed disadvantage somehow. Can't vampires be killed if you drive something through their hearts? I dunno...Try to catch him off-guard and make a lot of called shots maybe.

So are you capable of making new characters, of are you stuck with the ones you have?

If so, please tell us what you have access to, and we can tell you how to slaughter this guy. If he can only do 600 damage a round, he's pathetic and will go down easy.

Have the party's wizard research a new epic spell called "Bob the Wizard's Super-Duper Sure-Fire No-Fail Boccob-Blessed Spell for Permanently Killing Ridiculously Overpowered Vampires"

Its sounds like he is a Vampire lord, not just an ordinary vampire.

The vampire lord is found at:

Hey now, I'm not exactly recomending killing off your beloved characters, just taking a different angle at beating bbeg.

Maybe the party wizard devises a powerful spell to send your now epic characters back in time before the vampire became epically powerful but the stress of suddenly existing before you were even born weakens you. Thus making you Lvl 1-4.

This would give you the opportunity to re-build your character from the ground up while the wiz puzzles a way to get you back to your normal time and continue your war without a pesky, unkillable vampire waiting outside your backdoor

I'm trying to remember... but don't vampires slowly become immune to those things as they go up in age category? For example, Strahd has to be more than 600 years old by now. A handfull of garlic is not going to repel the venerable (or whatever age category) lord of Barovia.

But I don't think they ever become immune to positive energy or turning attempts. Find a god, cleric, avatar or proxy (plenty of those in Sigil) who this vampire has royally ****ed off, and point them in the right direction.

Part of becoming epic level mean being able to delegate epic responsibilities. At the level of godly power you're at, you can't seriously be expected to micromanage every little problem that threatens one little rock on the prime material plane.

(People need to retire their characters at 20th... it's just no fun after that. Turns into Dragonball Z... :nonono: )
