| Amsacaia08-30-07, 11:26 AM | Sorry if there’s a post about this already but I did a couple of searches and didn’t find anything. Okay, I'm currently playing a 4th level paladin, in a fast progressing campaign. In a month or two I’ll be level seven and thus able to be ready to take my first level in the Vassal of Bahamut Prestige class. The one problem I have is that to enter this class I have to slay in single combat a juvenile or higher red dragon. Luckily since we're playing in Eberron, with looser alignments such my Dm has allowed the class to be entered with the slaying of any Juvenile Evil renegade dragon (one that has turned away from the prophecy and dragon society). So that means instead of having to take on a challenge rating 10 juvenile red dragon, I can think about looking for possibly a rogue white dragon, whom at juvenile have a CR of only 6 making slightly more feasible. My question is are there any tips anyone has to give me for how to go about slaying this dragon as early as possibly to hopefully be able to enter the prestige class with my 8th level? by tips I mean, spells I should have cast on me? any feats? any tactics? anything really. |

Try to catch it somewhere that you can minimise it's flying advantage (unless you are an archer Paladin, but that's not very common of course); forests, caves. Cover will also go a long way to protect you if you can't do this, at least against the breath weapon attacks. Tyler! Long time no see! Welcome back, dude. The boards have been missing your wit (mostly they had to put up with mine in the interim...) |
