I am in dire need of help.
At this piont I am 20th level. (Well my character is, not me offcourse)
And I, my character, was given a mission: To lure a vampire out of his hiding place and into a highlevel evil cleric´s (possibly!) hiding place. The vampire must come at his own will and willing, so capture is out of the question.

And now is my question to all of you:
How do I lure a vampire out of his cave and into a evil cleric´s home??

Please, I need your help and/or ideas.

Say that the evil cleric offers an alliance. Have the evil cleric meet on neutral ground a few times, then schedule the next meeting in the evil cleric's house.

to answer your question, we must know how much your character knows about vampires. If nothing, then I'd suggest not taking any advice out-of-game about it. Try to find an NPC vampire expert to give you ideas. Or just come up with a plan at random. Maybe vampires like fire.

ya don't have to know anything about vampires (beyond the fact that they're probably not dumb) to lure one to an evil cleric's house by offering an alliance.

But yeah, research is always good. Not just a vampire expert, but an expert on that particular vampire, would be good. After all, "intelligent undead" means the vampire has aspirations, motives, and likes/dislilkes of its own.

Offer him lots of tasty blood if he comes to visit the evil cleric? If he gets mad because you don't give him any, simply shrug and say "Excuse me, evil."

Pfft. Easy-peasy.
You will need:

One four-poster bed.
Twelve yards of white gauze.
One raven-haired virgin, preferably answering to the additional criterion "buxom."
One filmy silk negligee.
One mansion, with a second-story bedroom with a floor to ceiling window, flowing curtains, and a balcony.
Sleeping pills.

Place bed in bedroom. Drape heavily with white gauze. Pillows and lace may be added if desired. Place virgin in negligee. Place negligee on bed. Administer one dose of sleeping pills. Open window (it may help to place a fan on the balcony to elicit the proper streaming effect from its curtains). Depart from room.

If your party includes a strong, silent, charismatic barbarian or a suave bard or rogue, administer the remaining sleeping pills to this character, in order to preserve virgin.

Let sit until midnight. Stir and serve.

The alliance idea is good. I like the thought of creating a "false" alliance wish in the head of a vampire, recive my goods and then leave to complete my adventure.
But, will the vampire not "revenge" on me? Or is that too stupid to think of?

To answer TommyBlack,
my character does know what normal peoples might know of vampires whatever that means.
Possibly the garlic thing, and the holy water as well, but how he/she/it thinks and what his/hers/its wishes are is a totally different ballgame. But any idea we might come up with my character of 16 INT might as well come up with.

So keep them comming. (The ideas, not any monsters)

BTW, what should I say to make him belive there is an alliance?
Does he have to know the Cleric from reputation?
What might he gain from an alliance?

But I do not know how to tell the vampire there is a cleric waiting for him and his skills, do you have any ideas please let me know.

I'm gonna have to go with the old "Hey they left the front door at the blood bank unlocked." trick.

I have to respectfully disagree with the alliance angle. It might work, but does sound sort of suspicious. If all you need is for the vampire to enter the cleric's home willingly then I have another suggestion. (Of course, if you need the vampire to like or at least trust the cleric, this won't work).

Have the cleric do something (or at least make the vampire believe that the cleric has done something) that enrages the vampire and make sure that the vampire knows exactly where to find said cleric. Vampires are (typically) evil after all and revenge is pretty easy to incite in evil folk.

Personally, I would wipe out the vampire's lackeys in the name of the cleric or his deity. This might be enough to enrage the vampire all on it's own, but even if it isn't, it prevents him from sending them to the cleric instead of going himself.

Just my 2cp.

Shout "Oh no, the Methuselah's been incapacitated by the werewolves who are now fleeing the vulnerable body!"

Now, seriously.

You could always see if you could do a modified Gather Information to spread anonymous rumors of your choosing about the specific place. Rumors of an artifact that restores life to undead, rumors of another vampire claiming territory and feeding grounds, or rumors of ancient texts would be enticing whether your target is seeking salvation, territorial, or just scholarly.

Is it power-hungry? Send a letter to the vampire from the ____ of ______, a well-known and prestigious man. The _o_ has heard that the vampire (doesn't say that in the letter, of course) is quite influential and would like to discuss plans. Hopefully, the bloodsucker would jump at the opportunity to sink his claws deeper into the streams of power.

The problem with the last 2 options is that the Vampire IS to like/trust the evil cleric and thus the option of enraging the vampire is not a good choise of action.

But, the option of an alliance or similar is a good one. I think I will go for that!

Thank you everyone with all your inputs/ideas and I hope I can help you another time.

Get a watergun(or a sprinkler), a lot of holy water. Go to the vampire and tell him to go, if he doesn't squirt him. Repeat until he does that.

A few days ago I played with my DM, and did he have it for me??
I went for the alliance thing and it worked out fine so far.
I talked with the vampire and we agreed to try to trick the cleric to leave his home and try to get inside his treasure room, wich we know he has.
From this room there are some magical stones a friend of mine needs and a ring I want, there is also a few things the vampire might have use for.

We are now standing in front of the cave entrance and wait to trick the vampire away, so we have the cave alone.

I will report back.
