| DeathDealer1103-13-06, 10:53 AM | I'm playing an evil Cleric of Shar in one campaign and I'm having trouble RPing him. A friend of mine told me that I'm not doing it correctly, and he's right - I never really do anything "clericy" like recruiting people. Since he's a cleric of Shar he's very secretive and rarely prays to Shar when it is needed, and stuff like that (And I don't use the shadowweave, whatever that is.). Domains are Trickery and Magic. Any ideas on how to RP a cleric? And an evil one? |

Claim that since Shar is the night, Shar was protecting them. 2. Tell stories about how the sun/light sources were destructive and damaging, and it was the soothing power of darkness that saved the people 3. Work the evil magic user angle. Mystra is a staunch ally (I think) of Selune. If evil magic users worship a friend of Selune, Shar is in opposition to her. |

Interpret as you like and determine how your character is going to try to spread and support that way of thinking through his words, deeds and actions. It should be unique to your character, there's no set method of playing a cleric of Shar, make it your own while still serving the creed of your goddess. |

Following that, each and every one of them should be about exterminating Selune's faith, and then anything else that is good after that. They call her the "Lady of Loss" for a reason. A lot of her followers turn to her after something horrible has rocked their lives, and they feel that death and despair are inevitable. |
